Yup, played WoW for the first 4-5 years or so. I think it was through the first 2 expansions. Played EQ back in the day too. It's hard to compare them to Destiny though. Those raids were much tougher and loot was much harder to get but you could run them when ever you wanted. You weren't limited to one loot drop per week like in Destiny. Both systems have their pros & cons I guess. Also, in PC MMO games your raid gear would be elite for a very long time and not outdated 3-4 months later like the console DLC cycle goes. It's a delicate balance to upgrade levels and keep people progressing but not make everything they unlock outdated in a short amount of time. If VoG was the only raid for 6-8months then yeah, maybe let that old stuff die out. But it was mostly put to rest once TDB came out 3 months later except for running lamps, arc burns and a few other places.
