Are you stupid? This thread is about there being no raid in HoW. Which Urk said. And if you think either comet or any other DLC for this game will be free you have already answered my question.

Your assumptions have no basis, he said the raid will come, "later this year" never stating if it's paid or not. The verbiage and context makes it sound like it's gonna be a latent release or a completely separate release. Yeah I do think it's possible because bungie is making quite a comeback as a company since penatholan.

Look man, he said "A" raid will come later this year and that HoW doesn't have a raid activity. How does my statement not have any basis? And if you're talking about the paying for it part, when is the last time you got any free content from destiny? So, the basis for my [i]statement[/i] is the way bungie has historically treated this game and the direct quote from one of the people in charge of it.

The added content on patrols was free (not big or significant I know just a point). I know he said the raid will come later meaning the raid of house of wolves but his context was that THE raid as in the raid for house of wolves will not be released in conjunction of house of wolves. I just cite the fact he said the raid

I'm going to be the guy who says that how is more about refining the game and giving us more to do until "comet". I totally understand what your saying/thinking but I feel that they are trying to just give us more to do besides raiding. Obviously with the option to ug the legendary weapons (I assume this is also relevant to gear also) we will spend more time ug that gear.

I hear you, I do. But I take issue with the fact that it's happening at all. That's the headspace the snide comment I posted came from. The reason most people purchased the expansion pass was for the raids, there was an understanding that each expansion would contain a raid activity. And even if that understanding was a mistake, bungie had every opportunity (I believe an obligation) to correct that mistake because they knew the community was making it. Hell In the update Urk basically admits that the raids are the most important part of their game as he says there won't be one with HoW. That is downright conniving. And this new thing to do, the arena. It's three player PvE content, according to the post. To me that sounds an awful lot like a strike playlist. Maybe more like a final room of the nightfall playlist if they add modifiers, I don't know enough about it yet but these new things to do really don't sound very new. And with the arena, is there gonna be new gear or is that where you get the new currency to upgrade old gear because if it's the latter then the only way to reach max level after HoW drops is going to be through PvP content (IB and trials of Osiris). Extrapolate that to - grind gear to play IB/Trials to get top tier gear, then max that gear to play the arena to get the currency to upgrade old gear, then upgrade old gear to new max level to have the exact same gear you are wearing now (because you like that 160 intellect chest piece) in a few months with a higher number next to the symbol that means level in the game. That doesn't seem right to me.

Respect. I feel they will simplify it. Witg all the complaints they get about lack of pve content, the arena will be a horde model of sorts. Trials will be ultimate pvp . All this will have respective and distinctive gear associated with their choice of light levels. They are tired of the discrimination between raid 32 and ib 32.

God I hope so, I'm just not sure how they could regulate gear drops in something like horde mode, you know? And would the weekly completion be tied to how many waves you've completed or how many modifiers you have active. I guess only time will tell, but I think limiting it so that you can only drop a specific number of items/materials a week the replayability they are going for may not work out so well. I don't know haha im just demoralized because the lack of a raid so I'm being a childish pessimist.

Lol it's all good. The horde mode is like a recurring daily, but with radiant and other rewards. Rng still in otherwords Edit*u can still get ghorn

Haha have 3 of those, I was looking forward to new raid gear and weapons. Hopefully there will be raid level weapons and armor in the arena.
