Netflix's Daredevil has been out for a few days now. I'm almost done watching it. It's....good. It's certainly better than Ben Affleck's piece of shit portrayal of the character. The opening scene reminds me a lot of Hannibal.
I really love Vincent D'Onofrio's portrayal of The Kingpin. He seems calm at first, and his rousing speeches almost makes you believe he's a sympathetic character. But then....he goes and decapitates a Russian mob boss with his SUV's passenger side door. -blam!-ing brutal. And you never know when it's coming!
Charlie Cox makes a WONDERFUL Matt Murdock, but when he puts on a mask.... he's just kinda.... shitty? It's an origin story and all that and he's not quite a super hero yet. Fine. I get that. But he's constantly getting the shit kicked out of him! It gets tiresome to watch after 11 episodes. I know he doesn't have super powers like Hulk or Thor but for -blam!-s sake it took him 11 episodes to say "Gee... maybe I should get body armor instead of wearing black sports apparel?" -sigh-
Other than some of those minor gripes, it's a solid start to what will undoubtedly become a great series. It finally does Daredevil justice.
What does The Flood think about it?

I'll have to check it out later today. Better be good.
-
Its not bad so far, about 4 episodes in.
-
I like it so far. I'm only on episode 4 right now though. I feel the action sequences are a little overdone and slightly unbelievable, but I didn't read the comics or anything so I can't quite comment on that. I'm looking forward to watching the rest.
-
in regards to the body, his fighting style requires him remain quick and agile. He needed Melvin Potter's cloth armor in order to have protection and remain flexible and lightweight.
I'm 3 episodes away from watching the entire series.....twice

I watched the first few episodes yesterday was interesting and will watch more.
-
Stilt man?!
-
It's alright

I just finished this last night and I think it's my favorite Marvel property beside Winter Soldier. Excellently done. All the right feels. Not a huge fan of the costumes but the action was awesome. Esp the continuous shot fight scene.
-
I'm only on the 5th episode because I've been so busy with exams, but yeah, it's amazing. I'd give it no lower than a 9/10. At first I was pretty nervous because it was so hyped, and that tends to make my expectations too high, but it definitely met them.

Edited by Tuxx: 4/15/2015 2:31:25 PMJust watched the first episode and I'm hooked. The lighting and overall tone is -blam!-in awesome. It's dark amd surprisingly violent. Just like my soul (//_-)

Looks good been hooked on powers on psn plus
-
I'm about 6 episodes in and I love it the world that they set up is so dark and brutal. It's crazy to think that this is the same universe as the avengers! Charlie cox is fantastic the action is awesome the sound during the fights is great because you hear every punch, kick and bones breaking. I used to not like the character of daredevil but now I love him! I hope he shows up in civil war!
-
Matt is supposed to get his ass handed to him. That's the appeal of the modern version. Like batman but without the money, blind, and with an on/off ninja girlfriend who keeps dying and getting resurrected
-
I'm on episode 4 now and I like it so far it is so much better than the Ben Affleck movie
-
Really crazy how they tie it in to the avengers.
i haven't watched it, nor do i care
-
