What is the actual name of the hunters and what are they. why did they joined the covenant in the first place? Also tell me what other piece of covenant equipment they create and why they travel in pairs.

Lekgolo? Mkgalekogo? Something like that. They're a colony of worms that work together as a whole kind of like tubifex worms, only they're encased in a suit of armor and somehow they can shoot laz0r beams. They joined the Covenant because they wanted all teh cookies, they create finely-knit sweaters on weekdays, and they travel in pairs because they share a special bond. I think it's because they're one large colony divided into two.

You were partly right as they joined the covenant because they were threatened with the glassing of their home planet and the worms also create the inner workings of scarabs. But for the rest you were right

I didn't know that worms could be threatened. It's pretty cool that they make up the scarabs, though. Makes you wonder what other shapes they could take and if there's any limit to their ability, or if colonies that get too large would turn on each-other?
