I love messing about with NLB. The fun comes from the fact that it's challenging to use. Let's be honest here, no one is going to use it in PvE unless they are just -blam!-ing about. It isn't practical in PvE because of the speed between shots, having to scope for an accurate shot, and it only has an ammo capacity of like 16. I highly doubt Bungie ever intended it to be used consistently. I mean just look at Universal Remote; no one ever uses that thing in PvP or PvE. It's simply just a fun gun if you really like to run and gun with a shotty. Maybe it'll even become popular with the secodary spawns being reduced. even though it has a horrible rate of fire and almost no range until you get the exotic perk unlocked it had a purpose.
Quite simply, NLB has no need for a buff, nor will it get one. Should Bungie ever start Destiny competitions, no one is going to go about quick scoping to win. Even those hyper active ten year olds in FaZe wouldn't dare doing 360 no scopes with it. It would take 20 hours of play to succeed even once (at best).
Give NLB a chance for maybe an hour and you get used to it. It's extremely satisfying when you get a headshot on someone. You can just imagine the thoughts going through their head:
(In order of likelyness)
Did I seriously just get killed with THAT..?
WTF is this retard doing? They're going like one and five.
Nice shot, asshole...
Mr Fruit Gaming had made a few Destiny Funtages and challenges using NLB and it's quite fun to see his reactions and ability to use it. He even did one challenge to only use NLB and go positive without using melee, supers, heavy, or special and succeeded. Having trouble getting that one shot kill? Simple solution provided by the previously mentioned Mr Fruit Gaming is to line up with two friends and all shoot the same player- genius if you ask me!!
Go on and give it a go. You'll love it or hate it; there's no real inbetween. It can be quite fun when you get the hang of it and don't mind a sloppy K/D. Share your thoughts and love/hatred below. I'll try and get back to any serious or simply sarcastic comments if I can. Good shooting guardians!!!
Note: I'm fortelling that whole Universal Remote bit post update.
