I mean, if you can't go because of money or health issues, it's fine. You're just supposed to try your best to at least go there once.
-
So every Muslim has to try their best to go Mecca if he can. Can you state where in the Qur'an where that is stated? My knowledge of the Qur'an's contents are limited.
-
I've read the Qur'an 3 times, but I still haven't read the translation. It's long and complicated, I don't really know where that part is located. But I just know that it exists.
-
Is there a part that says something to the effect of: "Visit Mecca at least once"?
-
It's like a pilgrimage. We're basically obligated to make the journey unless a tragedy occurs and you're unable to go for the rest of our lives, which is a very rare occurrence.
-
Only obligated? So if I become a Muslim, I really, really am obligated, but I don't have to?
-
You have to, again, unless a tragedy has occurred or it just comes to the point where you have no money or have health issues that interfere with the journey. And you have your entire lifetime to make the journey, so it's not really a big deal to me. But it is best to go to Mecca when you're younger so you can travel the long distances much more easily since you have to walk back and forth between these 2 pillars I think.

I believe so.

Hm...
