As far as I know this thread has been around for quite some time.
It only got stickied recently. I don't know why, but my best guess is that Bungie and the good men & women working on it want to get any data for fixes in the last weeks before the great 1.1.2. update.
That's all I know about it. You probably won't get more information than this anyway.
