Agreed. The full throttle howl that becomes a high pitched shriek at 9000 rpms from an italian v12 is second to none.
I work for a German company (audi/porsche), sick machines, especially the top tier porsches...but nothing like us Italians.
An audi r8 v10 is essentially a lambo gallardo...engine. tranny, chassis etc.

They tuned down those engines for the R8 so it couldn't outrun the Lambos. I was near underground racing for a bit in North Carolina and those cars were just scary. Twin turbo ten cylinder Audi's. Makes you want to hold on to something just watching them go. And that's awesome. I'm torn between heading into BMW and leaving the field myself. Thinking heavily about entering the world of finance to better fund the future of myself and my hobbies.

Yea it's slightly detuned but still an amazing car. I've seen a Hefner twin turbo gallardo on the road before. A guy that was about 35-40 with his kid (younger than 10) sitting shotgun. I tried toying with him for fun with my 05 m3 I used to have, just to see what it was about...it took off like nothing I ever seen in my entire life brother...and that sound. I love what I do, it's as great industry and if you progress in it, it def pays the bills. I'm 31 and I've on my 33rd car lol, (a lot were leased). No my parents don't help me, in fact I pay most of their bills. Now I've buckled down, working on buying a house so I have a garage to put the toys in. I've been doing it 13 years now, it can be a grind, the hours suck, but I can't make this money anywhere else...and it coincides with my love for cars. If you ever need some help/advice about the career change ask away brother.

Definitely still amazing. And that's awesome! I rolled up next to a guy around the same age with his son sitting shotgun in a McLaren 12C while I was in my '79 Scout II two summers ago. It was surreal to see a kid sitting in one of my dream cars drooling over my car. Proudest car moment I've ever had. And that's great to hear your doing well doing what you love at least! You have about ten years on me in age and experience. So believe me it's great to meet and or talk to someone else who's got their head together in this field. I'm trying like a mad man right now to hammer out what I want to do with myself while I'm still not held down by much of anything. I surely would be grateful to anyone willing to answer any little questions I might have about this subject so thank you kindly for that. Hopefully we'll talk again soon my friend.
