No scientific theory claims this.
Please read up on things instead of spouting poorly misrepented talking points.

Then how do you think the world was created?

I'll link the children's version as it might be easier for creationists to understand. http://spaceplace.nasa.gov/solar-system-formation/en/

How cute. Now here's the adult version: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=z6kgvhG3AkI
How cute. Now here's the adult version: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=z6kgvhG3AkI
Oh hey, it's a video of a huckster having a "debate" with a scientist.
-
Seriously, insulting your opponent is the only sensible come back you could come up with? How elementary of you, and I thought you were going to say some clever, overall opinion upon your position. Well, whatever...
-
Seriously, what is there to say? Ken Hamm is a con artist, just like Ray Comfort and the others. And besides, what possible constructive conversation can we have if you take Ken Hamm's word? Look at how he ends that. No amount of evidence will ever sway him on anything. I naturally assume you will be the same way if you look up to him. If that's true, then why should I waste my breath? Let's also be honest about what any of those "debates" are really about. A scientist shows up attempting to dispel misconceptions about scientific ideas that get used as strawmen by the religious. The other guy isn't there to actually discuss anything though, but merely promote to his intended audience how well he's fighting the "enemies" of their faith. It's a dog and pony show at best.

Edited by SSG ACM: 4/10/2015 5:08:39 AMGlad you watched, and then again not for I have no idea why we have lowered our conversation about dogs and pony shows. I thought it was better than child's explanation of evolution. Guess I was wrong... Not.

In case it wasn't clear, these type of debates are a farce.

Matter cannot be created or destroyed, but every something must have a beginning. That is contradiction.
-
Exactly. Logical Proof God Exists: The world couldn't have been formed naturally without defying the laws of thermodymics; thus, our reality had to have been affected, or better yet created. Period. I'm done talking.
-
Matter cannot be created or destroyed, but every something must have a beginning. That is contradiction.
Who says that there even had to be nothing before something? That's a big assumption on your part. Before something, you can have something else.
-
But what created the something else? God operates outside the laws of physics but the laws of physics are constricting on themselves. People like to declare faith in God creating the universe as ridiculous but then put full faith in ideas that have no scientific support. I'm not saying science is wrong to search for answers or to explain things, but it seems hypocritical for people to make big jumps in assumptions with the universe and denounce God in the same breath
-
prove it
-
But what created the something else? God operates outside the laws of physics...
I would ask for evidence for this claim. But I'm pretty sure it is based solely on a fallacy. plus 1 for arguments from ignorance..
-
how was god created then?
-
He wasn't he doesn't exist
-
I know that lol

The Bible says that He is the beginning, and He is the end (Rev. 22:13). Since God, by definition, is the creator of the whole universe, he is the creator of time. Therefore He is not limited by the time dimension He created, so has no beginning in time God is the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity (Isaiah 57:15). Therefore He doesn't have a cause.
-
I don't give a shit what the bible says. The bible also says not to wear mixed fabrics. I garauntee you that you wear mixed fabrics.
-
This is why we need the Bible: To encourage the morality that men desperately need to abandon the evil they wish to divulge. Almost all the atheists that I find on forums like these have to try to attack some Christian statements with a harsh tone in their text. Weird.
-
That's the problem right there. Religious people believe morality comes from a higher being or a book. I'm talking you, it comes from your brain. Empathy, putting yourself in someone else's shoes. If someone punches me, I know that it hurts, using logic you can determine that punching someone will also hurt them. If you found out there was no god tomorrow, undeniable evidence was presented. Would you go out and kill someone? I would hope not. I worked hard to get the stuff I had, so I don't anyone taking my stuff. I can empathize with others and not take their stuff
-
Without a moral foundation, people are more likely to commit more sin then they should.
-
Edited by Jack: 4/10/2015 3:19:24 PMWell statistics would show differently. It depends what you define as sin. You may define being gay and getting married or having sex with a man a sin. I call that equal rights. You may define women teaching a sin, I also call that equal rights among genders. Countries that are less religious show a higher societal health, every time.

Hi, that rule was for Jews when they were living in a desert. Duh, tell me you can find something in the Bible that says Christians can't play video games. You can't. You know why? ...because it wasn't applicable back then. That whole "mixed frabrics" rule applied to the Jews so that they can remain physically clean. They had to make their own clothes genius.
-
So do you agree with Gay marriage then, most of that was in the old testament, which doesn't correlate with Christianity according to you.
