I'm not sure if this sounds like a good idea or not, but I was thinking, "Wouldn't it be neat if there were different types of exotics? Here are my ideas:
Sub exotics:
These are exotics with a different elemental damage than most of them have. They are extremely rare and are never sold by Xur. Examples might include an Arc Gjallarhorn, a Void Icebreaker, a Solar Plan C, etc. Again, these would be extremely rare. One out of twenty Gjallarhorns would have Arc damage. It would definitely make Arc burn Omnigul easier for the select few who have it.
Cursed exotics:
These exotics have a dark aura. They are a bad omen. If you become corrupted, you will lose control and go on a rampage. But those who survive the corruption become very powerful for a certain amount of time (But not game breakingly powerful. All it would do is make cooldowns way faster.) In Pokemon, there is a condition known as Pokerus (Look it up. For I am 2 lazy 2 explain. XD). Cursed exotics would be sort of similar to that. With cursed exotics, you can only get the exotic perk with kills in a Rumble match. This is supposed to be when you are corrupted. Thorn, Bad Juju, and Red Death are all examples of these.
At least in my opinion, sub exotics seem like a good idea. But I'm not so sure about cursed exotics. Let me know what you think.
