Nothing of this sort goes on at my school, but my 8th physics teacher had a strange story for us from his school days: Science class is doing the sodium-in-water experiment. A small amount if sodium placed in water will explode violently. This kid took a freaking BLOCK of sodium, went to the bathroom, and dropped it in a toilet.
