PSA: If you use The Last Word, you're cheating.
The Last Word is one of the most powerful weapons you can encounter in the Crucible. So powerful, it can kill you in less than a second (That's like a heavy weapon killtime). Often times, it doesn't matter if you get the first shot off; The Last Word user can just turn the battle the around in the blink of an eye without any real effort.
I've been told by multiple users that the eponymous perk the weapon has is actually bugged. The extra precision damage applies not only to hip firing, but aiming down the sights as well. That means that people who use this weapon are exploiting a glitch in the game to their advantage, which means they're cheating.
Look it up. Last time I checked the Xbox Live terms of service, exploiting unintended elements in a game to your advantage constitutes cheating. I'm sure PSN has similar terms. Bungie is no stranger to banning people for this sort of thing; Achronos himself stated back in the Halo 2 days that the use of the button glitches in that game in Matchmaking was cheating and a bannable offense.
I'm sure some of you (probably the people who use the gun) will start calling me names, saying that I suck or am a sore loser, yadda yadda yadda. But it doesn't really matter; the terms are clear. If you use the Last Word in Crucible in that manner, [i]you are technically cheating.[/i] There's no if's, and's, or but's about it. You are cheating.

If something is wrong with its perks, its on bungie, not its users. Furthermore, if we complain about every weapon every week we are just killing the game quicker. Shut up and use a different gun. I use scout rifles with fusion rifles and rocket launchers. Or i use auto, pulse rifles with shotguns, snipers and machine guns. Find a set that balances you out, and grenade and reload perks come in handy in the crucible. I exploit them often. So i have a way to kill whatever, whenever. Sometimes i do, sometimes i die, but i dont blame the gun or the game.

Nice try there buddy, I doubt you're going to convince anyone with that logic though. Btw, if it is bugged and Bungie hasn't fixed it by now, that's on them.. not the users. Banning people for using a bugged weapon that they didn't fix quickly isn't going to happen. Calling people cheaters because they beat you with a good weapon is pretty silly too. I agree with the op in the fact that it's a bugged weapon and is stupid in pvp. I have it and use it time to time but it does feel like cheating using it, I dominate games with it. Only time I ever pull it out is if me and my team are facing enemies using it or if I somehow feel the need to go super saiyan try hard.

Great weapon for the run & gun play style. Not my style, so I stick with Oversoul Edict, Bad Juju, or Thorn and hang back picking people off at mid range.

8 RepliesI'm disregarding the rest of the post as the complete and utter dogshit it is, and am going to answer one sentence from the beginning, that the TLWS has a kill time under a second. Fast firing scout rifles with impact boosts, the Vex, shotguns, fusion rifles, and snipers all have kill times under second, if you don't use the right weapon, that's on you.

Owning the gun and trying to make them nerf a gun just cause they did what needed to be done on everything else, i don't see how you can ask xur to re sell it and beings he didn't you wanna down grade it? Grow a pair and be more mature. Btw no ones exploiting nothing cause there's nothing, I repeat, NOTHING wrong with the last word
