Game Theory looks at one of the most charismatic 'villains' of the last decade, examining him as a person.
Sure, he might be a psychopath... But was he always that way?
Watch and decide for yourself if the evidence stacks up in his favor.
Is Handsome Jack really the villain?
-
Game theory is bullshit. Jack was a horrible person in the borderlands universe and to say otherwise is bullshit.
-
Still a villain in my book
-
Basically jack is EA. Started with good intentions, but then tried to drain everyone's wallets/kill bandits. Pretty much the same... Right?

I wonder was Gearbox even agreeing with itself when they did the PreSequel....because it's different team from the one that did 1 & 2 right. It'd explain why they changed him.
-
Play the pre sequel he was pretty good then got messed up
-
He's misunderstood I guess. Sure he's crazy and enjoys killing, but so do all the vault hunters. They literally betrayed him because they could and that drove him to commit of the excessively violent acts he did. After playing the pre sequel my entire perspective of the vault hunters changed. I realized how evil they were. Jack was trying to remove all the bandits from Pandora and make the place safe for normal people. Up until they betrayed him his only goal was to save the moon from the Dahl guys. They tried to kill him because they thrive on the lawlessness of Pandora.

The vault hunters tried to kill him before he did anything bad to them. I wish there was a decision whether you kill him or not.
-
he reminds me of The illusive man in Mass Effect 3
-
Can someone reply please?
-
Screw the vault hunters, lilith particularly.
-
It seems like he is the good guy.
-
just because he thinks hes a hero wile giggling and committing genocide dosnt make him one. by the OP's line of logic hitler was a better person than mother terresa...
-
Jack is not a hero to Pandora. To Elpis? Yes. To Pandora? No. In Borderlands 2, Jack was an egotistical, maniacal villain who was "cleansing" Pandora of bandits, when in all actuality, he was murdering people in order to grow his company. Essentiallt.
-
I never really put all this together myself, but... I like Jack even more now.
-
His name's actually John too!
