So do you think your area has the potential to get erased off the map if someone decides to -blam!- our shit?
Some guy who works for the center for arms control and nonproliferation said that i'm not totally -blam!-ed, but if winds are right fallout would be a risk. Most the nukes would be dropped on Norfolk Naval Base 20 miles away.
So, how -blam!-ed would you be?
Also how to tell if you are -blam!-ed
>Any large AFB/Naval Base
>D.C
>Hold's B-2's and B-52's
>Oil Refineries
>Communications and command and control facilities.
Not -blam!-ed
> Cities are not really targets in a nuclear war.
>Literal middle of no where
>Anywhere in South America and Africa
>Small AFB's that have no real nuclear capability
>At least 50 miles away from something that is nuked
-
This made me have a dream about my town getting nuked you ass.
-
Oh, and relevant.
-
Live near and work at a large air force base. They have several program headquarters and do write a bit of satellite control, so definitely a good amount of risk.
-
I'd be on my way to Jericho.
-
I live in the central of valley in California, Even if nukes don't land here, these dumbasses can't even conserve water during a normal drought. no way in hell we're all going to work together and figure shit out. On the plus side, I'm moving to Wyoming in a couple months. Lived there before and I have zero doubts that not a single resident would die directly or inderectly from nuclear fallout.
-
It's nice to live on an island with no large cities.
-
If there was a nuclear exchange, the whole world would be -blam!-ed
-
I'll live ;)
-
I'll live.

According to Survivalrating.org there are 9 nuclear targets within 60 miles of my hometown. Thankfully, where I live now should be safe...
... unless it's China doing the nuking. Then I'm screwed.
-
I live a couple hours drive to NYC. Err not that screwed. Unless they start nuking farmers then everyone around me will die.
-
*stares uncannily* I reside in all computer networks, overseeing them, so I can survive.
-
In the same city as the UK met office that predicts all of Europe's weather... Crap.
-
Massachusetts 10 miles from Vermont Yankee nuclear facility. I'm vapor.
-
I live in Memphis and we have Fedex and a medium sized air force base
-
Yeah I'm good, this town is in southeast KY.
-
I live in ardmore Alabama The only thing I'd imagine they nuke would be the space and rocket center in Huntsville which is about 40 miles away.
-
Only interesting thing is I live near the mayo clinic. So if things go to shit and they bomb hospitals I'm okay.
-
I mean they could try to bomb the area but that would mean wiping out most of the world's supply of maple syrup. So I'm prob safe. It's common knowlege that table syrup is the syrup of savages.
-
The U.S. Would be retarded to allow a nuke to even touch our ground. Aren't their some kind of homeland defense systems? Orbital defense ? Naval defense? (Is orbital defense even a real thing yet?)
-
I live about 20 miles from CA's capital. Crap
-
I don't think that there is much direct military activity around me, nor is there production of war-essential items, so I think I'm good.

Edited by JesusOfSuburbia: 4/4/2015 12:37:43 PMI live near Pittsburgh, so during the Cold War we were a top five target because of the steel industries. Nowadays, we're pretty far down the list. Unless they hate Carnegie Mellon, sports or bridges.

Hah, Illinois FTW
-
What exactly happens during fallout?
-
I'm like 30 minutes from Los Angeles...
