Hello Bungie & fellow guardians.
In addition to the expansion of vault space on the way, why not also make vault space more efficient? More space to store weapons is awesome, but with only a four (4) slot increase to general items I think it would be more efficient to remove the amount limits for items such as: ammo synth packs and crafting materials (spinmetal, helium filaments, etc.).
What I like to do is horde my general items together in the vault and use the Destiny Companion App to retrieve specific amounts of materials for leveling a weapon or armor on any character I'm using at the time. Currently, there doesn't seem to be a limit to how many weapon parts, alternate currency (strange coins, motes of light), consumables (ether seeds, black wax idols, etc.), and class specific materials (plasteel plating, sapphire wire, hadronic essence) you can carry. If the same thing is done for ammo synth packs and crafting materials that would free up more room to store other general items like: ships, emblems, shaders, and sparrows.
I've already had to delete all my extra shaders (except raid shaders and my favorite shader that I have on each character) just to make room to horde my crafting materials and extra ammo synth packs I buy from Xur. I'm also prevented from hording my consumables for the same reason (though that's a lesser issue). I don't want be forced to delete my ships and emblems (especially raid ships and emblems) too. If that's not possible why not cap the amount of materials and consumables guardians can carry at 1000 per slot across the board. That way general items can be easier to manage.
Let me know what you guys think or suggest, and bump it if you'd like to see this done.
Thanks.
