I believe that a larger capacity playlist is long overdue for the Crucible. The studio that brought us Big Team Battle in Halo for so long needs to also introduce a larger capacity mode in Destiny, and I feel that 9v9 would fit just fine for maps like Bastion and First Light.
What do you think?

What about massive super raids that have any guardians that participate and it's an ongoing war event you can step in and out of and enemy hordes only millions of guardians at once can defeat
-
Would never work. 6v6 is already relying on one guy to run a server for twelve people, and sixty-five interconnections in a mesh network to take the lag out of it. 9v9 would mean one guy serving eighteen people, and 171 interconnections to go wrong. Peer-to-peer simply doesn't scale to that many people.

I want rumble on vehicle maps tha t would be cool
-
I'd really love a Big Team Battle mode, but let's face it, the netcode struggles when it's 6 v 6. 12 v 12 would be unplayable.
-
Big Team Battle is all I played in Halo 3. They will release it in the future of course but it will be sold to us as a bullet point in a piece of DLC just like capture the flag will
-
I would love to see it for the larger maps.
-
Faction wars. 15v15 once you die three times you're out. Have to be paired with other members of the same faction.
-
And maybe a mode that required a little more strategy, where control of the map had more effect on the outcome of the game (Conquest/Domination)
-
-Big team battle -CTF -More open maps(not even bigger just more open, meaning less shotgun camping) Those 3 things would revamp pvp.
-
A 12v12 would be awesome imo. I could be one of the special modes that comes around every once in a while. Great for utilizing the large maps
-
Waaaaaay too much lag
-
It would be fun but would make the servers complete shit compared to now.
-
Big Team Battle was fun.
-
i think 12 on 12 would be something great for skyshock, the painstakingly dull map due to the size of it
-
Y not go all out 64 free for all
-
To be honest, that's what I feel like the TDB map was made for (sky something? Can't remember the name). I mean the control games never end with a 20k score, it's always due to time expiring. It wouldnt make sense that bungie would intentionally make a map for 6v6 that constantly never hits the score cap. I believe it was designed for a big team style game mode that never ended up making it in the game.

What crucible really needs is a 4v4 game mode. Some maps like anomaly and asylum are just too crazy for 6v6 and just a bit too big for 3v3.

Edited by Dar Katan: 4/3/2015 4:38:36 PMWhat they really need to implement is a Titanfall style AI system, that allows for epic chaos and greater satisfaction in PVP. My first impression when going from Titanfall to Destiny PvP was how destiny felt empty and hollow compared to Titanfall. Titanfall felt like I was apart of some awesome battle, because of the AI characters everywhere. I can only hope.

4v4 would be greatly appreciated
-
The reason behind six people teams is for the possibility of each class with each subclass making an interesting range of class and role combos in both pvp and pve
-
Yes, they should have a mass PVP open world on each planet.

Edited by RebornV3: 4/3/2015 7:04:42 PMWon't happen unless Bungie cut last gen support and focused solely on current gen its simple last gen can't handle more players unless you wanna play in 720p or less Bungie would have to tone the graphics down or get rid of something so maybe Destiny 2 will have bigger game modes.
-
Yes. All the scrubs flock to Big Team Battle in halo, I'm not sure why but it was always super easy to pad the KDR in BtB if you know what I am saying ;)
-
They'll probably say something about the last gen machines not being able to handle it.

Big team battle.
