Just as it says why? Do people not remember beating this thing with 29s?
Do people not understand a 30 does the same damage as a 32? In VOG
And before you look, i have 3 32s i just laugh at people not letting 30s or even 29s into vog hard....
Get good.
Edit: Okay right on. Glad most everyone agrees i just wasnt understanding the reasons
Edit 2: forgot to say yes first thing i mainly look at is whose got vog weapons. Then i ask if they have done it before lol.
Edit 3: if you ever need help with VOG or Crota. Or nightfalls add me Devohagen
Edit 4: so many replies. Wow. Thanks. Ive only argued a few replies so far lol.
Edit 5: 800 comments and trending! Seems to be people still unaware no extra damage by 32s in VOG is real. Thats too bad. I beat it today with 30s in the group in two portals...
Edit 6: all im saying is people kicking out the 29s 30s are the real scrubs and n00bs. The only people i struggle to play with are squeakers
Edit 7: if you think a 32 does more weapon damage then a 30 in vog you're a n00b and please just dont comment. Also wow 1000 replies.

I have no problem with 30s but they more than likely have no experience in vog and its very frustrating wiping over and over and over and over

WELL 31s DONT DIE AS FAST AND IT IS EASY TO GET TO 31
-
Agreed
-
because people are dumb
-
Agreed, 30 is max defense and attack power.. people just think you get 20% atk+def because of the entire game...
-
More people understand this than I thought. I applaud you sir. 30 is the ceiling for VoG. We can be on destiny 4 using level 50s still doing 30 level damage
-
Because they're pansies who don't want to work that hard. As long as you are helping, that's all I require.
-
Anyone who NEEDS 31+ for vog is a scrub
-
i prefer the requirements "don't be an idiot" and "don't suck."
-
You're just a scrub who doesn't have 3 32s and wishes he could play VoG for the first time
-
I don't ask for a level cap at all. Nor do I ask for weapon requirements. Just play with whoever joins first.
-
If you need 32s to beat vog then you suck. I've done vog hard many times with 2 or more sub level 30s

Right, ran Hard with my 29 warlock the second or third week hard mode was out. Beat it with team of 4 29s and 2 30s.
-
The only reason I would ask for 32's is because they would have to have done Crota's End, raid experience. Or they've done Iron Banner. But I really commented to ask a question. Do 30's, 31's and 32's have different attack damage outputs? They obviously have different defense levels but is it enough to make a real difference? I would love for someone to shed some real light on the subject with stats and numbers.

i like not being accepted in vog for being lvl 30........in vog gear. cracks me up.
-
I prefer 28 for normal min and 30 for hard. Any higher is absolutely unnecessary.

Edited by Wallaby Vonwise: 4/2/2015 8:30:26 PMMy clan detests playing with randoms but on those off nights we're short a few players we typically do not set level or experience or gear requirements. We could probably do it with 3 or 4 of us so we are willing to give a helping hand to newer players that could use the experience and gear. Additionally picking up 32s or 31s that're so used to LFGing that they don't notice they're running with a team all from the same clan is just such a wonderful treat; love when it goes right over their head that they're running with maxed out experienced veterans with great gear and awesome team play and they just assume they're some sort of MVP. Bad game for it and we don't have much patience for it anymore.
-
We all used to do it with 30s only it's bullshit people say 31+
-
It's makes it a whole lot easier when you have better people with more exp. it's frustrating to be redoing things time and time again
-
Glad im not the only one who laughs at scrubs asking for 31+

You know what else really grinds my gears? When no one else is capable of soloing a portal at the gatekeepers. There's so many weapons now that make this an EASY task (black hammer, icebreaker, ghorn, ldr, hunger, truth) It's so much faster and if the two people are good then both are out before a second preatorian spawns, so less work on the outside. I went into a portal last night and said "I'll be back in 45 seconds", one guy started counting to be smart, and I was out in under 30 seconds lol

Seriously, people are better off using maxed VoG armor for that raid because of perks, instead of using vanguard or even CE armor that does nothing extra when fighting vex

Im the type of player that is pretty lenient when it comes to new players, but im very strict with those players being prepared. I can accept a 30 going into VoG since that is the highest level the enemies are. That means no reduction in damage done, or increase in damage taken. I will not accept a 29 into VoG simply because attaining 30 or higher is an easy task. If someone isn't patient enough to take the time to get prepared before entering the raid, then i have no desire to carry those people. Those people do reduced damage, so whatever they don't do, the rest of the group needs to make up for (the definition of carrying). I do make exceptions to this, since i'm not without sympathy for those players, but if half the group is made up of under leveled individuls, i wont stay. Like i said, getting to at least 30 isn't difficult. So i expect people to at least be that high before attempting the higher level content. I also believe weapons should be properly upgraded, but I don't usually make a big deal out of that. The biggest concern is the level difference. With. 40% reduction in damage for just 1 level difference, i dont think i'm being unfair by wanting level allropriate players in my fireteam.
