Why 31+ for VOG?
Just as it says why? Do people not remember beating this thing with 29s?
Do people not understand a 30 does the same damage as a 32? In VOG
And before you look, i have 3 32s i just laugh at people not letting 30s or even 29s into vog hard....

Edit 2: forgot to say yes first thing i mainly look at is whose got vog weapons. Then i ask if they have done it before lol.

Edit 5: 800 comments and trending! Seems to be people still unaware no extra damage by 32s in VOG is real. Thats too bad. I beat it today with 30s in the group in two portals...
Edit 6: all im saying is people kicking out the 29s 30s are the real scrubs and n00bs. The only people i struggle to play with are squeakers

I think it's ridiculous as well we used to do it with 28-30 now it's 32 or 31+ it's ridiculous :/

I always ask for 29+ because I won't have to worry about a 27 not knowing what to do

I did normal Crota as a 28 so there's no reason anyone under lvl 31 should be rejected from hard vault

I think it's coz of health and armour I got kicked when I was 31 and the two 32 had 11 deaths each

Edited by Robin the Goblin: 4/2/2015 11:56:22 PMYeah... people don't understand damage scaling because they're not used to how balanced the combat in this game is. You deal pretty much the same damage to an enemy at level 20 as you would deal to the same enemy at level 100 (theoretically).

It's because reaching level 30 is no longer an achievement, as the Crota raid gets you to 32.

They want higher levels because they themselves suck on vog. They want to be carry thru it. Last night I get a random invite I'm OK I'll go. Next thing I hear is who is this guy? Then someone else said he's cool he has a fully maxed or gally. They all shut up then. I was on my hunter with an unleveled word of crota and some special, they didn't care, they saw the gally. Players are relying on to much of a certain weapon or level when it can be done without that weapon or level.

1 ReplyWhen I get a full raid set, I will wear it and be a full VOG 30, and do more damage and be more effective than if I was wearing my 32 Crota armor, because of the VOG based perks, like Oracle Disruptor. And All you need is Black Hammer and SGA and you will kill Atheon

1 ReplyIf it were me, I would be looking for players with 2200+ Grimoire. This would show that they should have completed a fair amount of content including the VoG. I've run it too many times with 31 & 32s that have never even opened the vault before and let's face it, Crota's End is a glorified strike that is 75% cheesable.

i can only guess they want to weed out newer players and run through the vault as fast as possible with the most experienced players that can throw out the most damage as possible on top of it

1 ReplyI was playing hard mode last night with an LFG group and one of the guys kept dying during Gatekeeper portals. After awhile he said, "oh! I don't have my 32 gear on--I'm only 31. That's why I keep dying." I just laughed. I'm not even coming down on the guy, I just thought it was funny and relevant to this.

Whenever someone asks for 30+ for VOG I don't join cause if you need 30+ for VOG you most likely are a scrub, and I can't handle the stress.
