Why 31+ for VOG?
Just as it says why? Do people not remember beating this thing with 29s?
Do people not understand a 30 does the same damage as a 32? In VOG
And before you look, i have 3 32s i just laugh at people not letting 30s or even 29s into vog hard....

Edit 5: 800 comments and trending! Seems to be people still unaware no extra damage by 32s in VOG is real. Thats too bad. I beat it today with 30s in the group in two portals...
Edit 6: all im saying is people kicking out the 29s 30s are the real scrubs and n00bs. The only people i struggle to play with are squeakers

I was the only 30 in the group, with 1 other 31 and 3 32s. We finally got another person and once they joined in and said they were a 32, I was kicked. I can understand if I -blam!-ed up I could be kicked, but I was doing more than 2 of the 32s. Funny thing was that the fireteam leader who kicked me was the only one without a mic.

Most people want to get the raid done as quickly as possible so that they can get their loot. Most of the time, people are just after the exotics. They don't want to have to spend any time teaching or carrying inexperienced players when they can just fill up their group with high levels and get it done faster. But at this point, 32 doesn't mean you have even touched VoG. I've seen plenty of high level players who have no idea what to do. And I guide them through it the exact same way I would guide through a sub-30 player. Level doesn't automatically mean you know what you're doing, but it does make it easy to tell who will be doing more damage (up to the level of the raid, that is).

Good question, I guess for some people it's become kind of accepted that since VoG has been out for so long there's no reason to be inexperienced in it. Even in experienced groups its amazing how many people leave after a couple Gorgon Maze wipes.

Yeh many noobs and seniors dun know that for vog, dmg is capped at 30. 31+ wont matter since all do same dmg. As long as ur 30+ w/ decent weps ur iny raid team in vog.

If the people are trying to get it done very quickly I could understand wanting a 32 over a 29 because of the damage difference but otherwise it's pretty dumb

2 RepliesI am not saying that it is tight to exclude people at level 30 but at thos point in the game it is entirely possible to achieve level 31 or 32 without actually doing vog. Even at level 30 vog was difficult with a party that was extremely experienced.

1 Replydumb people. I had 2- 32 "experienced" players run with our crew on crota hard. Both jump into the center to avoid the ogre's and get killed by sword/gatekeeper. Their responses were awesome. "What the hell, there's a blue guy down here. When did that glitch start"

Back in the day 29s were fine because people were just getting there and there were few 31+s so most of the 29s were good players that are now 32s, all of the 29s now are annoying little kids and squeakers that are bad at the game and can't get to 31 (which is easy) and have probably never raided before, when people ask for 31+ they want experienced older players who can hold up on their own in a raid, not annoying 8 year olds.

Everyone started at a super basic level on destiny, whether you're a day one vet or a Christmas "noob." Point is that people get too hung up on levels. I've gone through vog with a lvl 27 character on the team. Funnily enough because we didn't make a big deal about levels etc, we had a really fun raid. I have three 32's on each class and a decent grimoir you guys can check if that's the only thing that makes my comment valid. Let's just have some fun raiding guys!!!!!!

I just ran up to the bridge by myself hoping for some gear. EDIT: To the people saying you should be at least 31 by now, this is my 3rd character and the second time I've made a hunter so I do have experience and have put in enough time.

3 RepliesLevel (29+) doesn't matter in VoG hard as much as good weapons matter. Groups that require 31+ are trying to filter players hoping to find those with experience. When I form a group I ask for level 30 and VoG weapons.

22 RepliesWhen we let 29s run the vault of glass, the vendor gear brought you to 28, showing that they have enough raid gear and experience to do it. Now the vendor gear brings you to 31, so there really isn't an excuse to be 28 or 29 anymore.
