Just as it says why? Do people not remember beating this thing with 29s?
Do people not understand a 30 does the same damage as a 32? In VOG
And before you look, i have 3 32s i just laugh at people not letting 30s or even 29s into vog hard....
Get good.
Edit: Okay right on. Glad most everyone agrees i just wasnt understanding the reasons
Edit 2: forgot to say yes first thing i mainly look at is whose got vog weapons. Then i ask if they have done it before lol.
Edit 3: if you ever need help with VOG or Crota. Or nightfalls add me Devohagen
Edit 4: so many replies. Wow. Thanks. Ive only argued a few replies so far lol.
Edit 5: 800 comments and trending! Seems to be people still unaware no extra damage by 32s in VOG is real. Thats too bad. I beat it today with 30s in the group in two portals...
Edit 6: all im saying is people kicking out the 29s 30s are the real scrubs and n00bs. The only people i struggle to play with are squeakers
Edit 7: if you think a 32 does more weapon damage then a 30 in vog you're a n00b and please just dont comment. Also wow 1000 replies.

I find it not different to running with a 29. Tbh, if 5 members of your team are skilled enough, you can carry a 29 pretty easy.
-
I know right
-
Well, I will try to clear this up for you. I am 99.9% sure that people want others to be 31+ due to the fact of Christmas NOOB and other inexperienced VoG players. I understand we all have been new to VoG at some point but even I have ran some VoG runs off these forums with 31's and 32's who actually had no idea how to run it. I think people post that to make the odds higher to find more experienced players.

I usually dont join or inv anyone asking for 31+ because they r usually noobs who get carried through the raid and cant put any weight on their shoulders . I'll rather pick up the two 29's who have never raided before
-
32s are only useful for relics and I've taken 28s and 29s it's not difficult
-
Agreed. I'm a 32 but still play as a lvl 30 in VoG raid gear. 1...it looks better. 2...the challenge feels just right.
-
The most important part of VOG hard is to have the VOG helmet & VOG gauntlets equipped. Those two pieces give you orbs with critical kills and more super when killing Oracles. People don't realise the IB or Crota gear getting you to 32 is pointless.
-
Not because of the level, because of the weapons. Whenever I say 30+ it's always a kid with 248/300 VoC or something to that extent. If you don't have good armor, chances are that you don't have good weapons.
-
You want to know why? I will tell you why. Because the only ones left playing Destiny are clueless retards that didn't even know about their damage being equalized to level 30. Every person with half a brain is long gone from this game so you're left with dumbasses.
-
I suspect a lot of people asking for level 31+ for VoG started playing after the Crota raid came out so have far fewer VoG than Crota completions. They got used to Crota first, which is fast (and easy, glitches aside) and want a similar experience in VoG. For me, the fun of VoG is it's a challenge and requires a good team who can communicate. It takes an hour on a clean-ish run (realistically, obviously we've all done it faster than that). Compared to 35-40 minutes for Crota hard. Personally I steer clear of those groups. I joined one at Atheon once and the leader looked at my gear, complained I was using a 300 weapon (Vision of Confluence) and asked why I switched from Ghorn to SGA. He threatened to kick me, so I just left and found another group. If I ever had a weekend to kill, I'd be up for putting my VoG gear on getting a team of like minded people, and challenging a 'L31+ only' group to who finished the entire raid fastest, 'level 31+ only' or level 30s with 300 attack. I'd put good money on finishing it significantly faster than the 'L31+ only'ers.

Edited by SlightlyKrispy: 4/4/2015 4:35:09 AMI would ask why they won't let level 31's or at least one or two per hard crota?? I realise the damage taken is more and damage dealt is less. But if someone is experienced and has a maxed out gjallarhorn plus almost all the raid weapons why wouldn't you invite that guy? Too much hate. Its in human nature for most people to secularize a community into these ppl, those ppl, and our ppl. Its stupid. I have done hard crota and did it better than most in my team who were 32. Saying something like that in VoG forums about levels is funny. They obviously don't know what they are talking about
-
Another thing people aren't aware of, no matter what lvl u are u still do the same damage to oricles so a lvl 25 comes in with a hand cannon and does 300 and a lvl 32 comes in with the same hand cannon he will do the same amount of damage same thing with Crota's over soul
-
Edited by OddByChoice: 4/4/2015 4:06:55 AMI remember running VoG as a 26 with other 26s and 27s.
-
I used to run it as a 28 for ages and every week until tdb as a 29 cos I couldn't get the damn helmet to drop!
-
I know how ya feel, I just completed Crota hard today with bunch of level 32's as a level 31 and I didn't die once not counting them wanting to wipe. I mean I'm lvl.31 kicking ass against level 33 enemies
-
Some people have said that you have to be 32 to do vog hard. Like do you not remember doing it as level 30 and you're saying only 32s can do it. Some people....
-
Somehow they think they'll perform better with extra damage and defense. While it actually caps at 30, providing no additional benefit from being higher.
-
People have gone crazy in regards to level. They seem to forget that 6 months ago the majority of us were doing the Nightfall and Weekly when we were two or three levels lower. And now suddenly they act like it's impossible. We all started CE normal two levels down and did just fine. And with all our experience in the past few months, people still worry about 31s? It's ridiculous.
-
I don't care about Lvl as long as they are 29+ I care if they know how to actually use the relic and shoot the oracles
-
Maybe the extra defense works?
-
Agreed. I have a friend who just hit 27. Only bought the game a couple of weeks ago. He's almost ready to run the vault (not quite yet) and I'm afraid these are the kinds of idiots we will be up against when trying to find a group to run with.
-
I was in a group that was about to get going for hard VoG. I already had a bad vibe for a reason that I can't remember. The host then said "I am filling out the group with 32s to make up for my lack of level, since I'm only level 30". I left immediately.
-
I only let 31s in, and I'll tell you why... Being a lvl 31+ means that you actually play the game, now I understand that people don't have money for DLC, but then I need to see that you are good. I have gotten in to many games with scrubs that never have done VoG before...
-
Dude once told me it was impossible to run relic in vog as a lvl 30, Christmas noob got proven wrong
-
Edited by Lasersharks: 4/3/2015 11:20:19 PMWas doing the VoG with a team of randoms the other night. We had 5 and were looking for a 6th person to do it. I was the only 30 in the group, with 1 other 31 and 3 32s. We finally got another person and once they joined in and said they were a 32, I was kicked. I can understand if I -blam!-ed up I could be kicked, but I was doing more than 2 of the 32s. Funny thing was that the fireteam leader who kicked me was the only one without a mic.
