Why 31+ for VOG?
Just as it says why? Do people not remember beating this thing with 29s?
Do people not understand a 30 does the same damage as a 32? In VOG
And before you look, i have 3 32s i just laugh at people not letting 30s or even 29s into vog hard....

Level 30 is all you need. 32 only provides a miniscule amount of damage reduction that you'll hardly notice any difference. It does not provide a damage increase. I've been around since Day 1 and have plenty of experience. My fireteam and I go in with full VoG gear. There is no need to have a full fireteam of 32s for VoG hard mode. Anyone else claiming 31+ shows more experience is only kidding themselves. You don't have to bring just anyone into your raids, but I've played with plenty of new players who just hit 30 that have shown more "skill", understanding and willingness to learn than most 32 veterans who claim to be god players. I will say, however, that not having any Oracle Disruptor weapons is definitely going to be a damper at certain points, especially during Atheon (exceptions: Hunters Golden Gun, fusion rifles and sometimes shotguns). Likewise, with as easy as it is to his 31 or even 32, there are plenty of players who think "OMG I am going to rock that VOG hard mode for my first time and wreck it!" No, stop. Unless you've at least tackled normal, don't burden another fireteam of players who know what they're doing with that attitude. Don't be afraid to ask questions and don't be afraid to say, "Yeah, I don't know what this fight is about. What's the strategy here?" If you're constantly getting kicked because of this, it's not your fault and don't let that lead you to believe that all players are like that. Another alternative to this is joining a clan. New players are always welcome in my VoG raids. Everyone has to start somewhere and we have no problem building that bridge to cross that gap.

Just look for the posts that ask for experienced players. Not the ones that want 31+. I prefer wearing my old VOG helmet anyway for the chance to generate orbs from getting critical hits on vex enemies.

Its funny when i do vog and change from a 32 to 30 because i like the perks on the vault gear. Also if anyone hasn't noticed you sp the same damage and take the same damage in vog at level 30 or 32. Voc is gonna hit for the 890 no matter what lol.

I found a lot of the people doing VoG now are newer players, most of them don't have the same understanding of VoG as the more experienced players. That's why some may want to have more health to make up for the lack of experience or skill. Anyways, standard vendor gears will get you to lvl 31, it's not really too much to ask for

2 RepliesI'll take 29's no problem, but level 31 shows that the player has been able to grind strikes or missions to get the commendations to buy level 31 armor. Its shows a minimum level of competency in this game. If you are stuck from level 24-29 in this game it shows who the scrub really is. IF its an alternate character and the guy has a decent grimoire score and maxed weapons to put on his 27 I'll take him too. People need to quit bitching about other people asking for level minimums. Don't play with them and move along...... Do you yell at the cereal boxes in Walmart because they are priced to high?!? I doubt it, you probably walk by and pay it no more attention. Same goes here. Save your breath to cool your soup

wait what? This is a thing? As you said, there is no benefit after you hit 30. It's just a mind game. Heck, research-minded Guardians have proven that 'attack' rating doesn't mean anything unless you're less than the level of the enemy. VoG hard can easily be done by a 29 or 30.

Yeah. I laugh everytime I read the ridiculous messages spammed in the tower. Crota hard is the only place levels matter. I also love the must have gally's. Does a gally help in the raids? Yes. Does everyone have to own one? No. Play. Have fun. Beat the raid. That is all. Soldier on guardians.

Lfg is about getting things done quick. (Or it ussually is bcuz of impatient gamers) So its (ussually) faster without 29's

If I don't have much time or am tired I only want 30+ but otherwise I don't care. Usually it's 30+ that joins anyway because people are used to getting kicked being below 30
