Just as it says why? Do people not remember beating this thing with 29s?
Do people not understand a 30 does the same damage as a 32? In VOG
And before you look, i have 3 32s i just laugh at people not letting 30s or even 29s into vog hard....
Get good.
Edit: Okay right on. Glad most everyone agrees i just wasnt understanding the reasons
Edit 2: forgot to say yes first thing i mainly look at is whose got vog weapons. Then i ask if they have done it before lol.
Edit 3: if you ever need help with VOG or Crota. Or nightfalls add me Devohagen
Edit 4: so many replies. Wow. Thanks. Ive only argued a few replies so far lol.
Edit 5: 800 comments and trending! Seems to be people still unaware no extra damage by 32s in VOG is real. Thats too bad. I beat it today with 30s in the group in two portals...
Edit 6: all im saying is people kicking out the 29s 30s are the real scrubs and n00bs. The only people i struggle to play with are squeakers
Edit 7: if you think a 32 does more weapon damage then a 30 in vog you're a n00b and please just dont comment. Also wow 1000 replies.

Im the type of player that is pretty lenient when it comes to new players, but im very strict with those players being prepared. I can accept a 30 going into VoG since that is the highest level the enemies are. That means no reduction in damage done, or increase in damage taken. I will not accept a 29 into VoG simply because attaining 30 or higher is an easy task. If someone isn't patient enough to take the time to get prepared before entering the raid, then i have no desire to carry those people. Those people do reduced damage, so whatever they don't do, the rest of the group needs to make up for (the definition of carrying). I do make exceptions to this, since i'm not without sympathy for those players, but if half the group is made up of under leveled individuls, i wont stay. Like i said, getting to at least 30 isn't difficult. So i expect people to at least be that high before attempting the higher level content. I also believe weapons should be properly upgraded, but I don't usually make a big deal out of that. The biggest concern is the level difference. With. 40% reduction in damage for just 1 level difference, i dont think i'm being unfair by wanting level allropriate players in my fireteam.

I'd imagine it's more that someone who is l30 or lower by this point is either really new, just started an alt, or doesn't really play that much... 2 out of 3 will increase the challenge, and despite what ppl on this forum say, they don't want a challenge, they just want a cake walk and loot.... In reality if you can't carry at least 1 noob/lower level you aren't that great...

Edited by WorldOak: 4/2/2015 7:23:20 PMThat is pretty ridiculous... If I'm going for a pick up group on lfg sites for VoG hard, if everyone's got a mic, and is 29 (or 28 if the group agrees to help someone through) or higher, what matters is teamwork and attitude first, then experience, then weapons and level. If it's your 1st raid ever, and you're running a lvl 29 character, I still don't give a -blam!- as long as you're able to learn the strategies, and hold your own when it comes to gunplay. I run a maxed out support based titan for a reason... Edit: spelling, and additionally, I think being a 32 does help damage output/survivability, but that doesn't disqualify a 29 from being useful. As long as the team has enough general skill and teamwork, a group of all 29's can wreck Atheon and have a damn good time doing it
-
When I run vog I put on all my vog gear and do it as a 30.
-
Never notice it until yesterday. I had my lvl 31 gears on and was relic holder. 31 does a just a lil bit less damage than lvl 32. But weapons damn are the same from 30-32.
-
Who cares? lol. I honestly don't think 31 and 32 leveled people really check out there levels before doing VOG. I don't understand why you'd post and have some issue about this. Who cares lol. A lot of people who are at that level are either doing the raid for fun or trying to get whatever weapon they are missing or a chance for the exotic chest. I just don't think level 31s and 32s are like, "oh I'm doing VOG lemme make sure I'm level 29-32 to do this!" Who cares what level people are. What happened to just having fun with VOG and trying to just collect whatever you don't have yet.
-
It's fun doing it as a lvl 29, brings back memories
-
I saw a post on LFG last week that said 32s only for VoG. It was funny and sad.
-
This is why I ask for 30+ when building VoG groups
-
-
I had a level 29 in Vog raid and a level 31 or 32 commented that we had a 29... I was like soo...? As long as we got this raid done we're fine. Also this 29 was experienced and was never the fault of wipes. Shame on anyone who requires 31+. Also we probably did that raid in like an hour or so
-
Damage resistance and makes the raid smoother assuming skill. Is it an absolute must? No. But most seem to be trying to quick run it for exotics.

Edited by gosmall1: 4/2/2015 5:53:05 PMI've been grinding away, 3 level 31's with all six subclasses maxed out. 2020 Grimoire. Been playing since December. About to pop my raid cherry... That is if the server is ever back on line...
-
Because we don't want noobs because if you are low level at this point (unless second or third character) you probably don't have much experience on either raid and most people want a quick clean run.
-
I agree 100%
-
I've found that squeakers are primarily responsible these posts.
-
I've always wondered this too lol it's crazy when people want only 32's
-
Because anyone who is a 30 at this point is a christmas noob who has never even done VoG, therefore they have no idea of what to do.
-
As people have pointed out I don't think it is their level but their weapons. I was in a group of 30s and 31s and Oracles could not be killed (and I can solo all of them with something like Corrective Measure + any other upgraded weapon). It was lack of DPS that killed the raid.

Edited by TALOS_of_EUROPA: 4/2/2015 5:19:40 PMLots of comments about level 29s and 30s that havnt played enough............. why not consider the fact that their other characters are level 32 and that they have merely started a new character like i did on Thursday. Ran VoG today with a new crew and i didnt die once......... in fact i showed them where they were going wrong.
-
once saw "looking for all 32s w/ max gally and/or icebreaker for VOG hard. Must have mic NO SQUEAKERS must know how to use relic yada yada yada...
-
Edited by manwaffle: 4/2/2015 5:48:37 PMOnly scrubs need all 32's for the vault, but I saw the same thing on normal
-
Its not necessarily about level its more about the guns they have
-
I think if your a level 32 in vault, you basically scale back down to a level 30.
-
I'll drop down to 30 sometimes just to equip the right stats and VoG armor for perks. Good groups will inspect weapons, not armor. If a group criticizes my level without inspecting that I have a full complement of maxed VoG weapons, I know to find another group :-)
-
Three 32s here. & I really don't care 29 or 30. Even if you a noob. VoG easy. The only time I kicked a person was when a 29 joined. & he was in the chat party I asked multiple times if he had better weapons didn't respond. So I gave him the boot cause he had that 1st auto rifle you get. Unleveled up 300 sniper rifle sitting at its base attack. And a rare rocket launcher. To me he was trolling so I gave him the boot.
