Depression

I'm depressed and I cut. I go to therapy and get help but I don't feel like it's working. I'm going to you guys because I don't know you and I feel like I can tell you everything. I want help. I need help. Please Don't get mad or offended but I'm being completely honest when I say girls tend to help more than guys. But I really appreciate the help Talking to you guys (like legit talking with a mic/ headset) would help so if you can send me a friend request on PS3: TheAlbatross4

  • Been dealing with it for over a decade. Km type II bipolar with some extra fun depression stuff thrown on. I've ended up just self medicating the last few years because nothing else has worked. It sucks, man. I wish I had better advice for you.

  • I went through chronic/severe depression for years.. I was eventually pushed over and now I simply dont care about much anymore. People dont phase me anymore, nothing hurts anymore. People could say terrible things to me and nada. Although, I only care for my son and my parents and siblings. You probably dont want to get to the point where I'm at, simplying not caring about a damn thing, not enjoying things I used to, not laughing at things I used to.. good luck. I'm always here if you need to talk to someone.

    • I don't have a PS anymore so can't help there I'm afraid. I used to have serious problems with depression and anxiety. My biggest advice is cutting down on caffeine and cigarettes, cut out alcohol and drugs, and smoke lots of weed. I know that's probably counter intuitive and against what your doctor has told you, but it helped me and a lot of my friends. It's also important you find stuff that makes you happy. A lot of people think having friends will make them happier, which they do, but if you find yourself wanting to do things they don't then you need to find more friends. I'm not saying ditch your current friends, but to find some people with different interests. In school a lot of people only have one or two groups of friends and you conform or get ousted. It's far better to have a few dozen groups of friends with different interests so you can express different sides of yourself to one group that another might have no interest in. Feel free to PM me, I'm usually on twice a day, but only for a few mins at a time. So apologies if I don't get back ASAP.

      I think there are hotlines for this sort of stuff, you should try to find one. They'll talk to you for hours. A girl I lived with used to dial them up and sit on the back porch all day long going on about her life and even listening to the operators issues, that'd probably do you well
