Currently the D-pad (directional pad=up, down, left, right buttons for those of you who didn't know its what its called) is used for pointing, sitting, bowing, and lets not forget the victory dance. Ok...they are fun and sometimes useful, but they are a waste of 4 buttons on the controller. I would like to see these buttons remapped to more useful things. An Example would be a gear/class change. Pressing the left button would swap armor, up would swap subclass, down would swap weapon, and for the sake of the victory dance...right would bring up a quick menu to select your emote/action. There would need to be a new menu to select which gear slots would be swapped to what and same for weapons. Bonus points to bungie if they make it automatically grab the gear from your vault if its not currently in your inventory. Just made a custom filter tag for dpad in the forums and realized very quickly that I'm not the first to suggest this. One of the better ideas out there was ammo synths. Edit: looks like there is a high percentage of people who agree. #deej pass this along to the right people to look into. Obviously we don't expect anything soon.
