As an English person I find Hershey's disgusting, and so do all my family and friends. I have 1 American relative, and she stockpiles Dairy Milk at her house.
Hershey's is like Tesco Value chocolate DOWNGRADED, it is awful.

Agreed I'm in Australia they only sell Hershey's at the discount stores it is the standard for shit confectionary
-
It is proper disgusting this is one American who can't stand it either
-
Chocolate in America is a risky fiasco At least for me as I'm super picky Hershey's is one that doesn't taste like pure wax. The main difference between American chocolates and imported is that American companies put a wax like chemical in it to prevent easy melting that is also in/similar to stomach acid. Basically a preservative. So for foreigners who haven't grown up eating it they can taste it on potent levels And to foreigners our chocolate tends to taste like vomit because of that chemical
-
I enjoy not being in cardiac arrest so I don't eat chocolate alongside the gross amount of sugar I get daily lol
-
I live in America and I hate our sweets. I love European chocolate
-
My flatmate brought some back after a trip to America. It literally smelt like shit and the taste wasn't far off either
-
I've tasted higher grade chocolate, but it doesn't impress me. I don't feel like it was worth the extra $6 dollars for it. (I'm not sure the actual ratio, but a small bag of it wasn't really satisfying..)

Edited by GHOST270: 4/2/2015 5:26:36 PMI prefer Lindt and Ghiardelli( sp?), but Hersheys is better that nothing most of the time. It's meant to be cheap and affordable, so it's not going to be up to gourmet standards. Their dark chocolate is actually ok. Those Lindt truffles are damn good.
-
I prefer Lindt. Also an American. Hershey's is kinda like the basic chocolate here, it's what one gets if there isn't anything else.
-
bcuz hershey park

Hershey's was designed to be an affordable sweet treat for the common people of America when it was first built by it's founder Milton Hershey. It's not supposed to be high quality gourmet chocolate, it's a quick treat you can pick up at a drug store or at the supermarket. Also, being English has nothing to do with this.
-
I don't really like it either. If I eat more than one of the even smaller bars I get a weird taste in my mouth. Good for s'mores though.
-
Different strokes for different folks.
-
I've never had chocolate that's bad. Chocolate is amazing in even its cheapest of forms!!
-
I friggin love Hershey's lol

Edited by UltraCon79: 4/2/2015 12:07:00 PMAs an English person, what are you doing eating milk chocolate when you know you already have bad teeth? It is mostly just sugar and I agree not very good. Try Twix no that's chocolate.
-
It tastes like poundland chocolate.
-
How can u Not like Hersheys??
-
I love it. You're saying the chocolate there is better? I must try it.
-
British, how can you my like tea so much?
stereotypes are fun

"As an English person I find Hershey's disgusting"
What you are or where you are from adds nothing to the statement. You have a personal preference. Not one that is mandated by your region or culture.
