I don't think your analysis of that situation is correct. I think the people looking for the easiest way to get loot (ie. Loot cavers [I'm not saying it's a bad thing]), are going to trade because it's an easy way to get the things they don't have. The people who raid, but don't actually care where they get the loot from will probably trade for the bits they are struggling to get. The hard liners who insist on earning evrything will fall into two categories (both will be mad), 1 those who are tired of seeing people walk around with the gear they want... they will cave in due time and resort to trading. 2, the purists who have been in it for themselves the whole time and realize that if you don't have those elusive exotics to look for there is really no other reason to play after a while.

So, April fools?
-
Do people still do the loot cave?
-
Play the game and get lucky drop you bum.
-
Maybe once we get to Destiny 3. Right now there is not enough weapon and armor variety to do so in my opinion.
-
Trading of purple items or below, and no raid weapons. Ok
-
This would ruin everything. Think about it. Do you know how many people I've talked to that have multiple gjallarhorns and hundreds of radiant shards, just to name a couple of highly sought after items? No one would ever actually try to play the game anymore. People would just give things away. If the trading was extremely limited, then maybe. But never open trading. That would destroy destiny.
-
OH MY GOD WHY HAS NO ONE THOUGHT OF THIS BEFORE??? oh wait they have, and it was a dumb idea then too. And your logic is freakin horrible. Lets take a look. you get exotics from raids and nightfall, you suggest we allow trading, so player A who has all weapons and barely plays anymore trades a bunch of guns to player B who now has no reason to do the raids or nightfalls because hes got everything he wants now. How exactly does that mean more people are doing activities?
-
There is not, I repeat is not enough items in the game to support trading!
-
I disagree. The game would become a cheese fest and gun trading game that has crushed other potentially good games
-
I'm for trading, but not the idea of it being whoever, whenever. I'd support trading in the event the loot dropped in. So 6 players kill hard Crota, player A gets Crux, and player B wants it, and has been farming for weeks. Why not be able to trade it on the spot. Once out of the raid, the option is gone. It's very limited.
-
Limit trading to level 30 and up, also put a Tuesday to Tuesday cap on it like say three a week...? Force people to barter and choose wisely.
-
No thank you. Trading's ruined Borderlands and the same would happen to Destiny. People would just throw their Exotics at their beginner buddies.
-
Loot cave was done months ago...
-
you know what guys if your going to be negative i get that but keep it to your selves if you wanna be positive id love to hear it but if not just be quite please.... :/
-
Loot caving is far from cheating. Cheating yeilds success. Loot caves are THE WORST way of getting anything. Even class materials and weapons parts. Farming works in similar games and is needed, but that's not how this game is meant to be played and that's why the results are pathelic. And trading would destroy the game since you can just bum stuff off your friends. Even if they made it so you could only trade the aame rarity tier, it would still wreck the game.
-
Not trading. That would break the game. Lending to other fireteam members would be a good compromise.
-
That's a cool idea, but your title is more than the main body is.
