Who is the Hero of Halo 5 Guardians
Is chief really a traitor? Is Locke doing the right thing? Or is someone else the hero who will save humanity?
If you pick neither, I would like you to comment below.
Update: Am I seriously the only one who thinks Locke could be the hero? Most of you are in denial that Master Chief could have done something bad. We'll just have to wait and see though.

John is the hero. The Librarian has a plan that involves him, and she wouldn't go through all the trouble of having John be her chosen one just for him to turn out evil. Locke, while a person who has done good, follows orders from ONI, an organization that has done plenty of evil and is run by a women who hates Halsey and is out for revenge. This doesn't mean that Locke is evil or that he won't eventually be on the side of good, but my guess we'll be that he misjudges Master Chief and his actions and won't realize till the end that what John did, whatever that may be, was for the greater good. Pretty obvious in my eyes who is the hero, regardless of trailers trying to confuse everyone.

2 RepliesThe Arbiter. My guess is that Locke and Chief will be the villans of the other one's story, while the Arbiter is the one who will mediate between the two in the end. That is, after all, literally what Arbiter means: one who settles a dispute between two parties. Arbiter is the only truly good character in the game is my guess.

My guess is chief found out ONI was screwing around with and destabilizing the elites and causing shenanigans. Locke being an ONI lapdog in Spartan armour was sent to take him out.
