I admit it.
I have become the thing I hated.
I have gone ahead and used my fully-leveled Blade Dancer class in the Crucible.
Prior to this, I only used this set of abilities in PvE, because I absolutely DESPISE invisible Hunters crouching behind every wall with shotguns, or camping with sniper rifles, or especially Arc Blading their way around every map.
But I decided to give it a try. And even though I'm not very good at it yet, I've given a few people a very bad surprise or two. Especially when I was invisible and had Felwinter's Lie near to hand.
As Eliot Ness said in "The Untouchables", "I have become what I beheld."
IT GETS WORSE.
I also leveled up as a Sunsinger.
Yes, I am now a shameless flamer. I am trolling people with endless fusion grenades (which curve to track and stick to their targets; that's not in the class description, but it's what makes them so damn annoying).
It took me about 3 matches to finish out both the Pull The Pin and Revengeance bounties using Fusion Grenades alone.
I am now playing as the class I hate above all others.
I have surrendered all honor and decency. This is the ultimate in shame.
What is a Guardian to do?
I can take pride in only one thing:
I have not yet popped a purple bubble on a control zone.
But I suppose that final degradation isn't far away.

Everyone wants to be a hunter deep down.
-
I'm proud of you! Do what's fun and what works, and to hell with everyone else!
-
Try fast twitch, Quickdraw and hungering blade. Fast twitch makes it so your blink strike is almost always up allowing you to take advantage of the healing from hungering blade, and Quickdraw will save your butt more often than having a slight bit more of agility.
-
I have become what I hated. I use shotguns.
-
Well in destiny, you either die a scrub, or live long enough to become a scrub
-
I use a striker with shoulder charge and the MIDA and max out the agility when I bored and only use melee attacks. It's a dick move but it's still no match for shotguns.
-
I hated the blink shotgun and am now doing it myself :(

Edited by jay p: 4/1/2015 5:41:37 PMWait till you get that voidfang vestments, double fusion grenade combo going. That's a lot of fun just being the most annoying guy.
-
Everytime I run Crucible, which is very infrequently, I run: Hunter Bladedancer Blink Thorn/Hawkmoon Two to the Morgue (rangefinder and knee pads because I'm a dickhead and don't have Felwinter's Lie) Against All Odds/MG18A Harms Way I suck bad enough that it cancels out and just puts me in the middle tier of players it seems.
-
Felwinters turned me into a blink+shotgun guy. Oh the shame.
-
Shame on you ;-) You can do something similar with a max agility Void Walker as a Warlock. So much fun. But it you really want to be 'da best Hunter, forget using invisibility, and try this: Flux Grenade (Stick 'em good). Blink (plus Shotgun, ya know what I mean) Razor's Edge (For those enemies you can't quite reach) Fast Twitch (Unlimited blink strike ... yeah PLUS shotgun) Path Forgotten (Speed) Fleet Footed (Speed) Way of the Drifter (Speed) Hungering Blade (Kill with arc blade, regenerate health, kill another ... rinse and repeat) Use Mida Multi Tool (fully maxed for even more speed), Mask of the Third Man (increases duration of arc blade). This is a max agility build ... you feel like being in control of the Matrix. I prefer a shotgun like Secret Handshake 'cause it has good RoF allowing you to get 'dem shotty kill streaks. The Mida is great for strafing and holds up against Thorn, the Last Word and Red Death. :-)

Gunslinger is fun with throwing knifes :)

I just started leveling Bladedancer and I already love it more than Gunslinger. The Super is way more fun to use.

good job OP on getting the responses you wanted. But seriously though, no idea why guys hate invisible BDs. They're like the easiest to kill, I'm not a Dreg who'll walk around it, the shimmering outline is quite enough in PvP. Might be bad for the shotgun dudes who do duels with other shotgun dudes. I imagine it might involve some quick pumping without looking at radar or keeping eyes closed while shooting. An invisible BD might work then. To be honest, some 1500+ games on main toon, yet cannot remember a single time that an invisible BD has got the drop on me. If you guys want to waste a slot in PvP on skill tree with a perk clearly made for PvE - thats cool. In PvE - yea invisibility rocks. Often the go to build when doing weeklys/solo NFs.

I've become my most hated thing.... An Auto rifle user.... which is why i can't wait to finish up my thorn bounty and stop using damn auto rifles. Why did i start using one in the first place X'C
-
Sunsinger tip Firebolt grenades are the best in the game. Especially if you add in touch of flame and Viking funeral AND you are wearing heart of the praxic fire. You will get double and triple kills regularly with one firebolt grenade. No aiming required.
-
i dont despise them as much as i dispise golden gun and shoulder charge and felwinters lie
-
I cant even LOOK at you anymore... Now where is my new Sunprancer Dress... Oops, i mean duster, yeah that makes the dress manly...
-
Lmao. A lot of us are guilty
-
Dude...LOVED this. Hilarious!
-
If you wanna go full retard use a Titan
-
I didn't read blink+shotgunning anywhere. When you start doing that there nothing will save you
-
K but that Two in the Morgue though. That thing is insane.
-
Defender bubble ain't op
-
Oh nu, what shall we do?!?

Not all crouch invis hunters sneak behind walls. I crouch so I can safely move from place to place in the middle of the match, my melee makes me invisible because it surprises my close quarters opponent or allows me to escape if I am low on health. I vanish with my arc blade because it gives me an extra moment to recover from arc blading and get my setup right for more slaying. You cause use that build and not be a total turd nugget like so many hunters must have done early on to get this bad rep. Also, fusion grenades are nice but nothing beats a firebolt near two or three guardians so I can one shot them anywhere and get a triple down :) A sticky is a nice bailout but I'd rather just kill and I'm sure I am not the only guardian to figure this out. Cheers bud! All chars are fun to play on!
