This doesn't just screw hardcore players. I do (did) play a lot of Destiny, but I play casually. I don't believe in min/maxing and I enjoy a variety of weapons. Some hardcore players simply have a few setups that they feel is the best and that's all they use. Many hardcore players have their signature raid and faction shader they wear religiously. I like to change it up every so often. But regardless, with so many different elements and perks, it's hard to say my 3 longbow synthesis rifles are "duplicates" they're totally different guns. You know how lucky I was to get 1 of each in each different element type? That shit doesn't happen twice in this loot system. I'm not a collector. Shit, even with max vault space I'd be dismantling like crazy, but variety is the -blam!-ing spice of life...I mean I really can't understand min/maxers and they suck my balls. There's also nothing cooler than wiping out a level 32 thorn asscannon spammer with a weapon with a strange name they've never heard of and they go to inspect you and see it's just some random blue one lol
