I often wondered why a game which appears to be mediocre to most critics (not all) is so widely played.
While their are issues and hiccups (lackluster story and minimal content out the box), this game boast a rich lore (grimoire cards), excellent game play mechanics, and a few addicting elements.
Let's face it, the RNG is addicting. Why do people gamble? You may lose loads of money and never win a thing, but when you do, it's an awesome feeling. That for me is why RNG so addicting. It can be annoying, but you stick around anyway.
I do understand the frustration though, the amount of time they had to develop this game, you would think there would be more than what their is. Some glitches are also annoying (vault of glass bullshit, lag issues, etc).
Pvp is fun, bottom line. You may not like it, but I always wondered why? Compared to other games it's not horribly different. I think the main gripe is that pvp feels tacked on, but I never really felt that way. Weapon balancing is always going to be an issue, but that is in every game.
Gameplay 9/10
Story 2/10
Lore 9/10
Content 6/10
Overall 8.7 in my opinion, many things could be addressed in the future, but that is not an excuse. Overall, its still a fun game which Is widely played By many.

Not being rude, but just honest clarification... You said 9, 2, 9, 6, each out of 10. That's a total of 26 points out of a possible 40. 26/40 is 0.65, or a 6.5 on the 10.0 scale. By your own grading scale, you gave Destiny about the same score as most reviewers. It's an average game with alot of bright spots.

Well then I stand corrected, lol. For the most part, it is good, but not next Gen material. Still fun though.
