Started playing Pillars of Eternity today. If you've never heard of it, its Obsidian's new isometric RPG. Its supposed to be a throwback to the old school crpg games of the late 90's like Baldur's Gate. So far Ive played it for 4 hours and its fantastic. I've never played any of the old Crpg games before, so the mechanics and like are pretty new to me. Combat is pretty indepth, and is a kinda real time pause combat. Kinda like FTL except much more advanced. Then there is the writing. Holy -blam!-ing shit is it good. Normally Im not super into reading in games, but the writing here is so good that I want to read everything there is to read. So far its a fantastic game.
