So yesterday afternoon, I was running around on Mars. You know, running down bounties and harassing the Cabal. However, while I was there, I noticed something interesting. As a hunter, my raid arms cause precision kills on Hive to have a chance to drop an orb of light. But on three separate occasions, when I shot a Cabal Legionnaire, it dropped an orb of light, even though it shouldn't. I was using Oversoul Edict and had full raid gear except for my helmet, Achlyophage Symbiote, and no super was involved or anything like that. Now, this may be a glitch or a coincidence or something, but I have never noticed it before with any other enemies. My question to you is this: Is it possible that this was intentional?
I mean, we already know that Bungie hides lore and mysteries inside the random gameplay already, much like how I was reading a post the other day about how a Dreg yelled "It's the darkness!" as a guardian approached. The two options that I see are that either there was an error that made the game think I was shooting the Hive, or that maybe this was on purpose. I personally love how deep the lore in Destiny is if you're willing to dig into it, and I think it would be awesome if there was some kind of conspiracy to this. So let me know what you all think. Do you think there could be a connection between the Hive and the Cabal?
Or post below if you have any other interesting theories, even if they aren't related to this at all. I think that puzzling out all the secrets is half the fun.
