I'm pretty sure it stems from the raid. Where warlocks are known for their cheese while hunters were legit and titans just wanted them both to shut up so they could punch things.

Warlock's are not the cheese, ask any warlock that raids, most of us prefer to not use radiance, it's just required of us by raid groups consisting hunters and Titans. I would much rather be the glass cannon nova bomb but it just sits that you NEED to be using self res if you play a pivotal role

Or you could use radiance with song of flame and stop dying. Problem solved.

I don't die a lot. Lol If you're relic holder and you're trying to stop the Templar from teleporting sometimes the timing gets messed up, nice try though.
