I just want to bring this up again. I was hoping we might get additional info on a potential HUD transparency fix as part of this week's update, but alas no luck. I'm pretty disappointed, since I thought the audio and video updates bullet might finally include a simple option to set HUD transparency in, say, 10% increments (or even simply 20% and 100%).
Since this game is played so many hours by so many enthusiasts, it's creating burn-in for these high-end TVs. I'm now stuck using a 23" 720p computer monitor at my desk to play the game to avoid further damage to my TV. I realize it's totally important to solve accessibility problems, but I'd actually guess there are at least as many users who have Plasma televisions as those who are colorblind (and this fix feels much less complex).
I'd ask that you please consider fixing this soon, ideally in 1.1.2.

Bumping looking for a response from Bungie. Why is it so hard to put out a response that you hear us?

Do some research before buying a shit plasma TV, kid. LCD is the way to go.
-
Anything on this yet Bungie? Would have taken less effort than the new ball in the tower. Seriously...what the hell?!?

That sucks, I didn't even know they still made plasma screens because of the burn in issue. If you're serious about gaming you should really look at an LED LCD.

I'm with you brother. The game is a coaster for me as that is its most valuable function right now. No way will I let a stupid game ruin my VT60. That TV will have an amazing picture for years over the fleeting fun of Destiny. Bungie as a company is a disgrace for not even addressing the now thousands of complaints about this same problem. It's now almost April and 10's of thousands of potential DLC purchasing gamers have had to move on to other games that won't damage their plasma screens.
