I have almost 700 hours in this game and I've run VoG and Crota too many times to count...I have 3 32 characters...I have seen Gally drop 5 times, none of which were to me. It's annoying being the only one in my group that constantly gets Plan C and No Land Beyond. It's to a point that I don't think it's random at all. It's as if Bungie is a cruel step parent that just wants to make my life hell. Luckily, I have one (yes 1 after all my raids) Hunger of Crota to make up for it. I have actually contemplating stopping my game time and moving my efforts to another game because of this outwardly ridiculous drop rate...I may give it another couple weeks, we will see.

Destiny's system is random. Random implys that one person will get the gun on their first raid while another spends countless times and does not get it. Imagine putting 20 exotic guns on pieces of paper and drawing them from a hat. Someone will draw the gjallarhorn on their first try while someone else may spend hundreds of picks (ie raids/nightfalls) until they finally get the gun.

If Bungie really cared about the game they should lower the damage of the gun - it is not a good situation right now - A lot of games lose ppl with stuff like this - You get frustrated and the advantage the gun gives to you make it unfair for ppl that do not have it....

Hunger of Crota has a lower damage rate than gjallarhorn - you get kicked with that....
