This is Triple Threat Match between 3 very good weapons.
In one corner, we have Fatebringer, who is arguably still the reigning champ (best primary in PvE). With it having ER, Outlaw, arc Damage, and being the only HC to get Firefly, many people are grinding their asses off to get it, and those who have it are wrecking with it, especially in an Arc nightfall. Unfortunately, its only capped at 300 max damage, so that turns a lot of people off from it now since the current max is 331. Even then, this weapon is still arguably the best primary in the game.
In another corner, we have Fang of Ir Yût. Often called "VoC 2.0", Fang has earned its spot in many Guardian's heart as the primary of choice. With it sporting Field scout, 331 max damage, extra damage to Hive Majors, Arc, and a choice between spray & play or Target Mark, Fang has been said to dethrone the almighty Fatebringer. But is this true?
In the final corner, we have the almighty Oversoul Edict. Coming off a big increase in damage to pulse rifles, Edict has become a very popular choice for a primary, not only in PvE, but in PvP as well. Sporting Full Auto, 331 max damage, Field Scout, extra damage to Hive Majors, and the ability to shoot thru the knights wall of Darkness, Edict is VERY quickly becoming loved my many guardians. But how does it stand up next to Fang and Fatebringer?
So, who wins the battle, Guardians?

Edited by PedalOnTheRight: 3/26/2015 9:07:24 PMI used all three this week and last week ( and Nechro but not going there - rude gestures were more effective ) Really tough call tbh especially since Fatebringer is actually the newest of the three for me and having a fantastic time with it OE was fantastic on mobs and knights that try to hide behind the wall of darkness, ripped omingul's shield off, good precision damage at distance. Fatebringer is so much fun to use - 300 does not reflect an accurate picture of the damage done with this thing, especially on mobs and close-mid range Fang is great in it's own way - I typically prefer scouts but have gone more to HC lately and OE is winning me over to pulse. Nice shooting scout, great ammo capacity, handling, range - no downside other than against hive it doesn't shoot through wall of darkness Bottom line: OE (especially against hive) Toss up between Fang and Fatebringer with a nod to Fatebringer for the fun factor Truth be told I switched a lot between the last 2 weeks of 6x nightfall 6x weekly: With OE for primary, Song of Ir Yut for heavy, and any arc sniper, we went faster/easier than any other combo we came up with - I even did a run with Fatebringer/Thunderlord (my personal favorite gun) and kept getting stuck in the hide/seek with the knights Nice thing about knights throwing up a wall is they stop shooting - it's like they are standing there for a free kill when you have weapons that shoot right through it with no waiting games, usually the shield is still floating there and the knight is already in chunks
