Why bother celebrate the Fourth of July? It was long ago too.
Because it's part of our history, standing at the basis of our country just as the royal family is part of their history.
To disrespect one is to disrespect your own, as it was part of our history too.
Or do you think the colonists succeeded from India?

Calling a nation a democracy while keeping a queen around only to decay while sitting on her throne collecting riches from archaic royalties is incredibly stupid. Traditions are meant to be broken. And as far as the 4th of July is concerned...only American monkeys swoon at the sight of explosives elevating in memory of the nations violent independence. Or do you think the native Americans handed over their land to us?
