The answer to the first one was,
The Covenant had been ambushed and had one of their military bases glassed and a ton of their kind massacred by the UNSC the fall of Arcadia was like revenge for them.
And the answer to the second one was...
ODSTs were sent to protect a SHIPYARD and it's goods were to be relocated to planet REACH.

Huh. Sorry for calling you out and then not backing my talk up. I really feel sheepish right now.

It's aight, it happened a ton at first. People were asking left and right for Legendaries and then they couldn't answer them. I got used to it. The only and I mean only two people who were ever able to back up their talk were Lord of Admirals and Clayman. LoA asked for 10 Legendary questions and got 6 of them right (they were tough) Clayman asked for 10+ Legendary questions got them all right and then asked for more saying they were too easy.
