Sun goes supernova.
Potentially vaporizes everything between it and anything in a radius up to Neptune.
Besides how would lions exist in space? No food/air/mobility/thermal regulation. They would starve/explode/freeze by the time they made it to the sun... Then be vaporized before even getting close.

Our sun can't go supernova
Our sun can't go supernova
Do tell why everyone is terrified of the solar flares then. And yes it can, it will just take millions of years.

Edited by Not Schruef: 3/27/2015 6:08:21 PMOur sun is too small. And solar flares have nothing to do with supernovae. A supernova happens when a very large star dies, expanding on itself (red supergiant) then imploding, jetting out a huge amount of energy Our sun will just expand, (red giant) implode a little and become a white dwarf. And a supernova, even if it came from our sun, would be nothing to worry about because we'd already be dead. Btw, our sun will die in about 18 billion years. Solar flares are just naturally emitted through our sun and happen every day
