Raiding with Brits
British people have got to be the most fun people to raid with. I mean, how can you not have a good time with their accents?.

Some of the quickest and cleanest runs that I have done has been with a group of Brits. Awesome dudes.

The best is when they try to make fun of American accents. They end up sounding like Dave Chappelle's impressions of white people.

Oh man, I get this all the time! I am from Scotland in the UK with a noticeable Scottish accent and Americans are always asking me to say stuff. Last time I raided with Americans, they wanted to know what cursing sounds like with my accent lol! What makes it even better is when most of the Americans try and guess where in Britain I'm from by my accent and they ALL say "Are you Irish?" XD I have seen a lot of people on here who are British saying that they think American accents sound really new and cool in Raids. For me, they are less noticeable because my boyfriend is American and have been with him for two years now so the accent has kinda grown on me lol

I play up to it by saying things like "tally ho chaps!" When I raid with Yankee doodles. Generally find most raiders good folks, perhaps with the exception of squeakers.

5 RepliesI'm always asked to say things when I join a raid fire team with Americans. I think the American accents are way better, just the diversity in them between states. I find our accents, even though we have our different accents seem to sound more common than the US

I was raiding with someone last night who just wanted to hear me speak, was so funny but I feel the same way with Americans! And when you join a fireteam full of Americans you know Croats going down lol

I often get people telling me they love my Scottish accent when I'm in groups with Americans (and sometimes Australians too)

2/3 of Brits I raided with back when I played were complete ass hats. The 1/3 however were so much fun it makes up for it.

As an American i couldn't agree more. My most fun raid ever was VOG month or two ago with four brits and one Canadian they were friends with. Not only were we all laughing the whole time but we did it "legit" so no sniping from top on templar or oracles. Haven't done that in a LONG time and personally that is my favorite part of the raid. We wiped a few times but because none of us were taking it overly serious it wasn't an issue to any of us. I know it's not cheating but sniping oracles and templar just makes it feel like you're going through the motions not really raiding. TL;DR Brits are ok by me.

1 ReplyI live in Texas but my mom was from England and I retained the accent (I guess that's possible 0_0) so I get asked if in from England everytime I play with someone new.
