Phogoth Glitch! Nightfall Cheese Glitch.
My buddies and I were running the nightfall as normal and while I was trying to show them where to hide if they took too much damage, Phogoth and every additional enemy completely despawned and we beat the nightfall and collected our loot without ever having to fight Phogoth. Pretty cool glitch. I haven't tested it again yet to see if it was a one time thing or not. We were chatting in party chat instead of fireteam chat, so unfortunately there are no voices but if this video gains popularity, I will do a voice over for it explaining exactly what happened.

When i was doing Heroic on level 30 and one person died and we back where you were and it said the darkness consumed you.When we respawned Phogoth was gone with everything else and there was also the two holes like in video.

1 ReplySurely if it works in the nightfall it'll work in the normal strike .. so it would be pretty easy, and far less risky, to test this theory and ascertain the truth prior to attempting it in the nightfall.

I just tried this and it works! My mate stayed at the front and I ran back to the door and stayed in the back doorway for a few seconds. It de spawned the lot!

When you go all the way back into that far back room, Phogoth [b]does[/b] despawn, but you also instantly fail the mission. In Nightfall, this means you go to orbit. While I don't deny that it is plausible that if you do it just right, then the enemies will despawn and you might not go to orbit, I don't think it is worth the risk of starting the whole strike over. Also, the fact that he looks at the ground like that is highly suspicious. While his editing is admittedly pretty good, I'm pretty confident that he didn't actually go back into the far room at first, they beat Phogoth, then he looked at the ground again and walked back there before the rewards popped up. Then he just edited out the bits in between where they actually fought Phogoth, all in an attempt to troll you into failing your Nightfall and needing to start over. [b]Edit;[/b] Upon closer inspection, his ammo count remains the same throughout the video. While he could have taken this into account and made sure he had the same amount of ammo at the end of the strike, or just not helped killed Phogoth, it still significantly reduces the odds that he spliced this video together. But! Still read the next paragraph! [b]/Edit[/b] I'll say this part again for good measure; even if he is not deliberately trolling you, it is not worth the risk of starting the Nightfall over just to try to skip Phogoth. It's almost hard not to cheese phogoth. You walk two feet and you stumble into a spot. He's a chump.

It's a glitch, if you go too far back the enemies disappear and if you stay too far back for too long you fail the mission, they just didn't respawn back in that time for some reason
