How did Bungie go down from being a top tier game developer to this....
even the user rating is 6/10...

How much would YOU rate Destiny??
To me this game is a 6/10 mainly due to how addictive it is to play with others in strikes and raids... everything else needs MAJOR improvements and where is that story at?
but i did get my money's worth after 500ish hours
-
To me it is 10/10
-
4/10 and no amount of play time will give me my monies worth from this piece of crap

And you wonder why game companies don't like metacritic. Only Nintendo, because they actually take the time to ensure their games are up to par with their brand. Game companies should start using this as a way to raise the bar. This is game critiquing at its finest. What better way for a company to take its feedback and directly correlate a a proper response via dlc/update. Too much to hope for, when they shrug this off as some uppidity game reviewer that has too high of standards and isn't a realistic gamer. Usually these guys are right on par of the course.

This game sucks, it's fun with friends and that is all it has going for it. I keep trying to go back and enjoy myself but i just want to quit after a couple bounties. I don't understand why people keep trying to defend it.

8/10. It's a great game, but it didn't live up to the (impossible to meet) hype which is why people are so negative. If you divorce the game from thw hype it's great, flawed, but great. The story is actually amazing, it just needs to be accessible in game.

0/10 trash

Destiny is a weird game, can't be rated after a week of playing it. It's scores are flawed.
-
I don't give a damn about scores reviewers give games!!! In the end it's my cash & I'll make the choice on what I should buy.. Destiny has a long way to go yet & let's hope there's a lot more new ideas to come..
How did Bungie go down from being a top tier game developer to this.... even the user rating is 6/10...
Seeing the 6.2 of the User Scores made me physically cringe. I may feel really negative when thinking about the Loot System, weapon balance, and the bizarrely antagonistic game development. But those can be compensated somewhat with things like having FPS PVE options at all. Some weapons are great fun most of the time like Fatebringer. After taking a couple days break even Patrols are refreshing. I hate seeing this game score anywhere under a C-. Maybe back during Iron Banner 2.0 where there was blatant cheating going on but Bungie banned accounts with modified machines sometime late last year. Destiny shouldn't be called a failure, more a disappointment. Depending on the circumstances it can still be very enjoyable to play. That has to count for something.

5/10 was at 10/10 a few months back. It's just that if you're from day one you start noticing how repetitive this game is. The lack of content and unfairness for people without dlc is ridiculous(I purchased both DLC's) They shouldn't lock out content just because some people didn't buy the dlc.(by content I mean Nightfalls/weeklys/daily's) Also, the reward system is crap. Most of you have already seen this and have experienced it. Seeing someone go 25-2 and receiving nothing while someone with 2-25 receives legendaries or even exotics. Especially in strikes! This game has the potential to be something great. I agree, this game starts out as fun and adventurous. It gets addicting to a certain extent. I just wish it was a little bit more fair for everyone. I know some will defend destiny. I'll get nasty messages because there's always that one person that wants to be mean. To them I say, I understand. it's okay to speak your mind. If you still enjoy this game that's great! If you don't agree with my rating, that's great! Everyone has a different opinion. Until we meet again guardians! -FrstStrike

If I were to give a review of Destiny, I'd have to break it down into categories as opposed to giving it a flat score. Soundtrack: 10/10 Graphics: 10/10 World: 2/10- I've been frustrated with how much cool looking stuff is inaccessible since week 2. Not a fan of invisible barriers :/ Mechanics/Gameplay: 10/10- a big part of what makes it so fun VoG: 10/10- even with the glitches VoG is one of the coolest things I've ever done in a video game Crota's End: 2/10- the abyss/forest run is the only part I really find enjoyable. That's not a good thing. Strikes: 7.5/10- the strikes are well done, but they do get repetitive after 29(?) weeks. And I don't even play strike playlists. PvP: 4/10- I enjoy PvP, especially Iron Banner with my friends, but the combination of unbalanced maps, lag, and constant nerfing (because of PvP), there's a lot left to be desired. Replayability: 10/10- it's not just because Destiny is/can be addicting. My favorite thing about Destiny is the social aspect. I've made a ton of friends, many of which I play with on a regular basis. It's my first major co-op experience (next closest is trophy boosting on Skate 2), mostly because I'm not allowed to play M rated games, but that's another subject which I don't have time to explain and could tell you about, but I'll just leave you hanging like the speaker.

Most of the "professional reviewers" didn't even play Vault of Glass. The content in the Grimoire is fantastic and its a crime that stuff isn't in the game. Chris Butcher gave an interesting talk at GDC, where he outlined the pitfalls they encountered when building the Tiger Engine. It took a year and a half longer than they expected. It's clear that Destiny has been a learning experience for Bungie, but I think sometimes they rely to much on the data they collect. I think you can tell a story too fast or too slowly and Destiny is definitely too slow. I think they have great opportunity to redeem themselves with House of Wolves. I love Destiny, still enjoy playing it almost everyday and can't wait for more.

You guys don't know Bungie very well, do you? Myth, Marathon, cryptic and bizarrely intriguing stories...
-
7/10 sounds right. It's a fun game, with a big foundation, but right now it's missing... well the rest of the house.
-
8/10 above average lots of content the only reason that people rate it so low is because it didn't reach there expaction that even a god couldn't reach
-
9/11 arc burn can't melt relic iron
-
It deserves lower
-
A solid 5
-
I would have to say a 5.5 out of 10. The only reason I think so many people are even still playing is because quite frankly there ain't that much else to play.
-
Activision.
-
6/10 sounds about right.

10/10 in my book, by far the most addicting, best FPS/CO-OP I've ever played in my life. Grindlife
