[b]Encountering the event[/b]
The Randal the Vandal encounter is a raid style public event that can only be rewarded with loot once a week. The public event has a chance of occurring in four different areas; The Forgotten Shore on Earth, the large area beside the Hellmouth on the Moon, the plains just below the Vault of Glass door on Venus and the sand dunes beside the portal to the Black Garden on Mars. Chances of the event occurring are a lot less likely than your typical public event, but chances can be increased the more vandals you kill in the area. Once the event appears for you, you will be silently matched with another 5 guardians experiencing the same event at that same location.
[b]The raid: Stage One - Randals' Brothers[/b]
The sky will darkens; a lot more than a usual public event. The world will is engulfed in almost total darkness for a few seconds. Suddenly a giant, explosive flash of light blinds your team. When the blinding light disappears, the darkness is gone and a lone Fallen Skiff begins to decent from where the light just vanished. The Skiff is larger than usual and is covered with banners depicting a Fallen Vandal standing triumphantly over a dead guardian. The Skiff goes down and back up, shooting off as fast as it came; leaving behind Randal and a group of his Elite Guard.
More Fallen Skiff's begin to drop in; Fallen jumping off to surround the area. Two Skiffs each drop a large modified Fallen Walker; one named Greg and the other Hank. Greg moves around quite quickly; shooting bursts of explosive rounds. Hank is a modified floating Walker (a floater...?) with a large shield. It shoots rapid laser blasts. Each has a larger than usual cannon capable of firing a fast moving laser beam. Guardians must work together to defeat the two Fallen Walkers like they normally would defeat a Fallen Walker, with the added difficulty of having to shoot specific joints on the legs of the Walkers. When the Walkers are destroyed, the explosions will take down a few Fallen Skiffs; scattering the battlefield with debris. After this you will move onto the next stage.
[b]Stage Two - Randals' Elite Guard[/b]
Angered at the destruction of his Brothers, Randal sends out his Elite Guard. Four Vandals jump onto four unique Fallen Pike's and begin to assault the guardians. The Pikes are faster than usual, shoot more rapidly dealing more damage with each hit and can shoot larger single laser cannon shots. Not far from Randal, another unoccupied modified Pike will have spawned. One guardian must board this Pike and use its guns to damage the shields of the Elite Guards' Pikes (immune to guardian fire). Once the shields are down, the other guardians must damage the Vandals as their shields recharge. Once Randals' Elite Guard have been killed, the last stage will commence.
[b]Stage Three - Randal the Vandal[/b]
Randal begins his attack. He runs around and shoots at guardians with his shrapnel launcher, much like he did in his earlier days guarding the Forgotten Shore. However; his attacks are much stronger. Shots from his Shrapnel Launcher deal very large amounts of damage and his melees will kill guardians in only a few hits. Drop ships will continuously fly in; dropping all sorts of vandals. At 50% health, Randal will summon his pike and start shooting down guardians with that. Cover will need to be taken using the debris left behind by the destruction of the Fallen Skiffs after the demise of Greg and Hank, as the shots fired from the Pike will kill guardians extremely fast. The Pike will have a similar shield to that of his Elite Guard. Eventually similar drivable Pikes to the previous stage will spawn, driven by vandals. These Pikes do not have shields and when the occupants are killed can be used by guardians. Using the Pike, guardians will shoot down the shields of Randals' moving Pike which will stun him temporarily. After doing this a few times, Randal will be defeated.

Loot drops are much rarer than typical raids. Weapons have a very low drop rate, with armor having a slightly higher (think lower drop rate than original VoG armor).

A ship with similar designs to that of a Fallen Skiff. Banners of Randal cover various parts of the ship.
[b]Pike[/b]
One of Randals' Pikes. This vehicle replaces your sparrow and can be summoned similarly.
