Day one players still around?
Hey just seeing who's new to destiny and if there's any day one players around still. I still log in every Tuesday and Friday for raid, nf and xur just for hoarding exotics and coins. The reason being is because I anticipate the future dlcs will be worth the time I've put into this game. So far I've got every exotic except the crux and thunder lord and all 3 characters are 32 with 266hours put into the game(You can verify yourself). Btw I'm a day one player myself.
Edit June 23 2015: I enjoy trials enough to login and go for flawless with all 3 characters. But with bungie making exclusive content for year one players and pretty much showing us day one players no appreciation, I'm thinking about leaving destiny altogether and investing my time into fallout 4 or gears of war. Don't get me wrong, I love this game and don't regret the time I've put into. I just don't like being screwed out of something I believe we, the day one/alpha/beta players deserve. I'm definitely not buying the 80 dollar collectors edition. Btw I have 3 34s at this point in time and have all poe and trials weapons. How do you day one players feel about the whole thing?

Hopefully we don't have to buy TTK in order to take advantage of the weapon patch, if so I'm going to wait for some reviews on TTK because considering most season passes and DLC have been shit this gen I'll be watching what I spend money on from now on

I am not paying £40 for new dlc I cannot justify it they will want more money out of us sooner or later i enjoyed the game spent a lot of time on destiny with friends just got batman for £30 with 2 dlc seems value for money to me thanks

Sort of. My friend just got Destiny so helped him through the "story". I am sort of pissed of with TTK pricing regarding the exchange rate & its making want to just walk away.

Investing time into GOW? I can't wait but I also can't see myself spending as much time as I have in Destiny. I played the game until a couple weeks after hard mode crota came out and took a break for a few months. I came back and over played it again but I'm just searching for the ram and crux. Oh and I love trials and want the messenger and scholar adept. I feel like the search is unnecessary as I heard most of this gear will be obsolete if not all. I haven't paid to much attention to TTK but for $40 I hope I'm getting a raid and 3 new planets and 2 new strikes not including ps exclusives coming to xb.

They already gave day one players a emblem we also get to a emblem for year one accomplishments and the exotic sparrow,emblem, and shader.. what else do you want people like you are what is wrong with the community I personally loved hearing you say you were leaving good riddance:)

Day one player here. I read your post, and I am basically the same. I still play daily, but that's more because I made some very good friends and they live overseas in the UK, and I like to good around and have fun. As far as Bungie doing anything special for me as a day one, I don't want anything other than better value for my time and money. The content has been a bad value for what they are asking money wise. I feel, as a consumer, that they have yet to deliver a polished product for the money. I also feel like they have figured out they can hold back content like emotes and the other cosmetic items and then exploit the customers who have stayed around. I also feel like they continue to find ways to stretch out hours played without adding anything into the game that would make me want to play more hours. Things like the Ice Breaker and Black Hammer nerf are blatant examples of this. Kind of falls into the Crotas End Hard Mode argument. Where Bungie didn't actually make it any harder outside of bumping the level up to where our damage output was less than the enemies. Which meant slower, longer runs. Literally nothing added, except more hours to show Activision and investors a ROI (return on investment). I just wish it wasn't all strictly about the money with them. It used to feel like it was about the experience with Bungie and their games. That being the best game was more important than making money. Because taking care of one (being great) easily takes care of the other (making moolah). Anyways. I personally, after over 1000 rather tedious, yet thankfully friend assisted, hours that it may be moving on time. My friends list is dying rapidly. The same bounties I've been doing daily for the last year were stale 6 months ago. I can't see myself running the same 6 Strikes much longer. And the fact that there IS content that could help break the monotony but its hidden behind Sonys paywall (I'm on Xbox) really grinds my gears.
