Losing players left right and centre
Bungie, you need to give us something to do. The hardcore players have had three level 32s for a long time now, we're all closing in on owning all of the exotics in the game (one of my friends has them all) and we're collectively running out of carrots to chase.
Throwing Iron Banner at us over and over again is an okay distraction but we are still getting bored, we are running out of reasons to play this game. I personally only still play crucible for the fun of it but there's actually no incentive whatsoever for me to play PVE. I have nothing to upgrade, only one exotic weapon to still get and it's not even a good one!
Please stop removing good playlists from crucible?! I understand you're probably trying to direct attention to Iron Banner but stop taking away Salvage, and bring back more inferno playlists! Me and my friends were really excited at the idea of playing Inferno Skirmish. That'd take teamwork to a whole new level and I personally think myself and my friends would excel at it, we were really excited to play it but now you've taken the inferno playlists away?? What gives?!
What on earth happened to Trials of Osiris? Why is it in our director but greyed out?
PVE events? What happened to these? The Queen's Wrath was pretty cool and gave us a nice variety of things to play.. Why not bring that back, and add some more interesting modifiers to the game? Make it more challenging and fun? I would love to play through a story mission with some simple modifiers like increased melee damage, full agility, no recharging shield, no radar, more aggressive AI, double enemy numbers and half enemy health.. etc etc. Things that would mix it up a little!
We (me and my group of friends) used to have 8 people every tuesday ready for raiding and nightfalls. This week we had 2, everyone's pretty much given up.
TL:DR; We're getting bored. Lots of us are leaving the game in favour of less laggy games/ones with more content & replay value.

I've had 3 32s for the last month and all but one exotic. I didn't miss a day of playing since it came out. I have no reasons to raid or do the nightfalls etc. I started the game up yesterday and sat in orbit and realized I had nothing to do. Even my clan who which none but one have 3 32s are not playing anymore either. Vog is pointless and crota isn't any fun. I'll play dome GTA and I'll be back lol.

Was watching some of the content and storyline of Witcher 3 and just how big of an action/RPG game it will be. Loved Witcher 2. CD Projekt Red will not dissapoint.

I simply play the game to enjoy it. Not chase carrots...otherwise I would be extremely frustrated with my continued lack of many exotics including the horn....

5 RepliesWhatever happened to just playing a game for fun? You never bitched at Bungie when all you had to do was play Halo PvP. Granted, Halo had a bunch of cool playlists, but still. So many entitled little shits out there these days. You really expect one game to rule them all?

I can tell that this game is slipping and is losing what really makes it great... The guardians who dedicate so much time and effort into building a rich, vibrant community

3 RepliesBe patient they want to make HoW extremely difficult and uncheeseable and not have things like upgrading exotics and buying vendor gear the same as last dlc. It will be more satisfying than the last dlc. Hopefully....

Ive never played a game continuously for this long, been here since Alpha. And a big part of that is the people. Meeting new players and helping out new raiders really kept me playing. But that said im in the same boat and HoW is a long way away. Very much playing other games and dropping in for the odd raid. This seems like the perfect time for something like Trials of Osiris, or an improved Queens Wrath. Specially with a lot of Christmas players starting to level cap and pick up hard raid guns.

I was a hardcore player since the start. Logged a stupid amount of hours for the first few months. However as stated, a few months ago I started going on less and less till now I don't play it. This pattern is consistent throughout my friends list... I don't really see anyone on destiny anymore when there used to be over 10 without fail.. They've just done most things wrong since release and CE was hilariously bad and killed it for me. It's funny they started talking about releasing things the players have been requesting since release really.. Must be a reaction to the drop in players.. I say too little too late bungie

There is no expectation to play the game 24/7. Like any game you complete the content or get bored and move on to something else. When new content is released, the folks who enjoy the game will return. Rinse and repeat.

He pointing out the lack of content after him and his friends and myself and a few thousand other players have run out of fun stuff to do. This game is disappointment to Ganges who were sold on the hype and E3 2013. "Go outside" etc isn't what this post was about. He, every one of us (whether you admit it or not) are starving for a crumb of the game we thought this was yet bungie seem to keep any pve progress to themselves. It's a fun game no doubt but I'm also getting to the stage that I wish another company release the destiny game from e3 since it wouldn't actually be an issue since this game doesn't even resemble the one that we thought it was.

There is nothing they can do at this point. Even HOW isn't going to bring players back for long. By then, most haven't played in months and if it isn't an amazing raid .......it will be back to whatever game they are playing now.

I have all exotics (except necro, but who cares), one more I have to upgrade at xur. I'm bored. I was chasing one more weapon, hezen vengeance, from VoG, but have that now. There's no reason to play really. I just do bounties to max out my many many suros I have lying around.

A job, football, get a house and family or whatever - then you'll realize you can't do all that so fast and therefor you'll have plenty left to do in the game.... In this game, I can't see it takes damage to anyone if the best keeps getting better of course, but however for all of us that can't play endless hours each day, there might be a long way to go, to reach the same level... So you can have new things, when more players have had the chance to catch up. Soon the new expansion will be available anyway :) or just go play fifa, online is always different and their is like no "end"

Total agreement, I don't yet have 3 32, got into raiding way too late but that's besides the point, but it really gets a bit dull seeing the same content over and over. Hopefully HOW will add a lot of new bits. *crosses fingers*...

1 ReplyI have yet to see a game that never gets old. This game's been out for a while, so it's not hard to believe that many players have done it all. We'll come back when the next DLC comes out, but until then, there are other games out there.

1 ReplyI think the replay value argument goes out the window when you've invested hundreds upon hundreds upon hundreds of hours into the game. We all agree there needs to be more content though.
