I listened to the DOD podcast today and learned that the "old" way of upgrading something quickly was to single out the armor or weapon you wanted to upgrade, have all other armor and weapons maxed out of experience, and turn in your bounties to dump everything into that 1 item. The reason for this was to ensure that all bounty xp turned in would go into said item.
Apparently, however, an update within the last month "secretly" upstaged the aforementioned upgrading system. Now we don't have to worry about dispersing xp. Now all available items the need xp will receive that full amount of bounty experience turned in.
For example:
Previous system - 5000xp of bounties over 5 items = 1000xp given to each item. Or 5000xp into 1 item = 5000xp into 1 item.
Current system - 5000xp of bounties over 5 items = 5000xp into each item. Or 5000xp into 1 item = 5000xp into into 1 item.
So start using those weapon curios' without hesitation of losing xp if needing to upgrade multiple pieces of armor and weapons simultaneously.
Hope this helps cuz I know it does me significantly!

I apparently never paid attention as I thought that's how it's always worked. It would explain why my weapons have been upgrading so much quicker lately........
