I need volunteers for the Bio Anti-Matter Systems project.

But the power and abilities gained will outweigh these downsides.
We already completed one surgery with our first volunteer, Python.

What are the benefits and how long is the surgery?

Some benefits are you will be able to operate indefinitely , not need to eat, drink or sleep, flight capabilities, Exo-Atmospheric capabilities without a suit, enhanced senses times five thousand. The surgery is roughly 4 days long.

We have the time. They won't be here for another 2 years by estimate. And the surgery is to increase your combat ability [b]AND[/b] your chance of survival against the War Droids, because currently one of them could take out all of us.
