It's hard to toss around the word or abbreviation "OP" properly in a game filled with so many cheap ways to get killed but many think Felwinter's Lie is this super OP shottie/sniper that ruins PVP. I do die by it often but since I prefer to stick with teammates it's rare to see Felwinter's go on a killing spree due to its poor ROF. So I ask: Is Felwinter's lie flawed and overpowered or balanced by its slow ROF? Thoughts?

Edited by MrSkeenss: 3/23/2015 2:02:30 PMNah totally not OP. ... totally...i swear...
-
Not at all, it has the shortest range of all the snipers in destiny
-
It can be very dominant, but it does have terrible RoF to keep it balanced. If you miss or don't get the kill you're basically waiting to die.
-
Slow ROF makes it undesirable to me .. found verdict all the way!
-
With range perks op as hell if not its a meeeg shotgun
-
op in one vs one. but you are a lonley and lost guardian if you use it without your teammates.
-
Most OP shotgun, but shotguns can be easily countered.
-
Full auto ftw
-
Op when I get killed with it piece of crap when I use it lol
-
Op the range on it is way too much, a true gun for the scrubs
-
The range makes up for the fire rate I guess. But I was literally sniped by that thing more than few times. When I saw how far away the guy was then saw what he killed me with I thought, that's impossible. I think they should probably make the ROF a little faster and nerf some of the range on it but it is what it is and I don't like asking for nerfs or buffs on anything.

Is my felwinters good? I have knee pads, rangefinder, and hammer forged
-
its strong.
-
The range is crazy. But to be honest I can snipe accross the map with a pulse rifle sooo...
-
Should I reroll mine? Agressive ballistics, Return to sender, hammer forged, shot package.
-
It's not op in the sense that you have to grind for it. If it was an exotic rng weapon it would be op totally honest
-
I did curse that weapon often last night as well as red death but it is what it is. I hate crying nerf, so I just whip out my favorite weapons and the tea bags.
-
I'm never one to criticize gameplay or gun choice in the banner. If you want to camp and snipe or hide with a shotgun fine. I have noticed an exceedingly high number of shotguns this time around and have found myself falling from their blast from a lot further away than I thought possible. I am very average at PvP, but have been able to adapt. The Last Word seems to do just fine as the boldly charge with the shotgun. The Thorn on the other hand is a nasty beast.
-
It is not that overpowered. Even with mine having maximum possible range, i have to sprint towards you. Use a hand cannon and you can kill me before im even close.
-
Depends on the perks
-
The one on my hunter is nah gonna try to get a good reforge
aka luck in the chamber, hammer forged, and shot package
-
I like my Judgment VI more than Felwinter's
-
-
Wouldn't say op but with the right perks the range can be kind of rediculous just don't get near it is the best advice I can give.
-
Felwinter's is in a curious spot. I have 2 and yes I do believe the range is a bit to long, however with the awful fire rate, if the gun gets nerfed too much it will be damn near unusable. You MUST get one shot kills with it. There is no time for follow up shots. I already don't use it on my Titan as if I don't get a one shot I can't follow with a melee because of the titans awful melee range. I use them on my warlock and hunter because I can force melee or blink strike in if I need to shotgun melee combo.

If you look at my titan I have the best roll imo. Idc what anyone else thinks
