Today i was doing my iron banner run , Done a couple games with the team then we all split up. Soon after that iron banner became so frustrating . I ran into this , basically a infinite defensive offensive strategy .

It's ok buddy I suck at pvp too ;)

Yea, they need to do something about placing randoms up agains organized groups. Maybe make it such that a group of 6 can only be paired up against another group of 6. Except this would defeat the strategy of the organized groups and make them play on a equal footing.

Ran into this last night during IB with a completely random team I was on, this strategy didn't work long for them though and there is a few reasons why. 1. Our team wasn't full of idiots who kept trying to rush bubbles and golden guns, we were smart enough to not feed them kills. 2. We didn't waste our supers besides when the shields went up, we weren't idiots who blasted supers off randomly when we knew what tactics the other team was using. Now remember this was a match made team I was on. The bubble tactic didn't even last half the match for the other team because every time one went up two supers on our team activated right away. Took down the bubbles and killed everything even the GG's. If a match made team can figure this out then there is no problem with the tactic as it has an easy counter, however stupid people will continue to do stupid things never learning new tactics... How did Einstein define insanity again, oh yeah repeating the same steps yet expecting different results.

Maybe put that shotgun away in favor of a sniper, keep ur distance, and peck them off that way? Hmmm... otherwise good coordination and teamwork. This would be more common if we could talk to our teammates...
-
thats awesome, your little shotty didn't work wawawawawawa saw you switch to TLW for a min hahahahaha i can tell what kinda player you are ...TLW, felwinter = crybaby hahahaahaha
-
Your playing to the other teams advantage. If anything, let them come to you and do away with the shotgun and instead use a sniper. It seems like you had 2 bases and if not, than your focus should have been just that and let them have that one base. I remember playing COD 2 years ago with a bunch of cool people. Before they jumped in we were getting owned by a group with a very similar strategy to what u see here. I mentioned to them what they were doing and that we were getting owned. They chuckled and said that they're not worried. We started owning them and it was painful to just see this happening. The problem was simple, they explained and yo make it clearer than ever I will ask u this...did u ever watch "Enter the Dragon" with B. Lee & Chuck N? If not, watch and learn. Almost the same thing except your playing a game haha.

Looks like you misjudged your enemy!
-
As a team, just hang back, camp and let the bubble go away. But as a "fix" make it so bubbles can not overlap each other. Partial fix is done.
-
Wrecked
-
Yeah. Some people call it strategy, i call it bullshit. As soon as a fireteam does that me and my mates just leave the game. We are to old to even bother with that bullshit bungie is not capable to work on
-
Lol. The problem is its not an offensive strategy. Just hang back on the 2 other zones with a sniper and enjoy the golden tears.
-
Honestly I'm not even mad. Blink strike shotgun goes down. I love it
-
2 Titans with Fist of Havoc with Shockwave on and that plan is toast
-
LOL That's hilarious, owned you totally legit quit crying. LOL 😱
-
So your mad that they worked as a team?
-
good team, thats how destiny pvp is supposed to be play they are feeding eacher kills and orbs, legit shit
-
Been doing this off and on for a over a month now. Here to collect tears :)
-
So, you keep running at them? Rather than sit back for a minute and wait for things to calm down. Brilliant

Right so, remember how we would all look for ways to deal with the shitty mechanics back in the early day--hell even now-- by cheesing raids or bosses or even the loot caves..well eventually everyone saw how thise same frustrating dynamics carried over into pvp and learned how to exploit it or turn those shitty mechanics in their favor(for as long as the game would allow). Its not cheating per se.. it's just the next logical step when people feel like they can't play the game the way the makers intended without being punished..you find exploits and loopholes. Yes it's frustrating but your frustration is midirected at the players they are only doing what the game pushes them to do..and don't get me wrong that tactic is pretty clever..but you'd do better to make your opinion heard in the right place and in the right tone..and if they ignore you..welll I can think of plenty of other games that will deserve your and my time. Not playing would do wonders for this game or whatever proceeds it.

Nova bomb. 6 kills and God knows how many enforcer medals

All i See is Teamwork and the other team, who Running to the bubbles to get killed. You had 2 Points, B and A. Just let them come. Problem solved

Edited by WhitEWatchEs: 3/22/2015 8:00:07 PMLooks like a strategy to me And you didn't even shoot once. Died a lot though.

Lolz you got pwned scrub!!!

I think you forced their hand when you decided you were going to blink around with that shot gun all match
-
So this one time I was sniping with my MIDA down from one of the vantage point along the C-B path on Shores of Time. I kept being out sniped by their three snipers, one sitting on B, the other two coming from the covered path from A. It was frustrating, especially since I could not get any kills with being shot three ways. And they were winning in part because I was feeding them kills So you know what I and my fireteammate did? We changed tactics. I pulled back, gave up on B, swapped load outs, and started protecting C. This gave nothing for their snipers to do and their other teammates who had been trying to rush C started feeding us kills. We ended up winning that match. I suspect the sniper players who were really good at sniping me were essentially one trick ponies, and when the fighting conditions changed, they were left with not being able to adapt. Morale is, if your current strategy is not working, pull back, change your weapons, and try something else. And if you check the roster and see a four to six person fireteam, expect you'll likely lose the round. If it's Iron Banner and you already have four or five medallion, drop and go to a new game.
