You see a beautiful painting on a wall.
What is the first thing you might ask?
Who painted that?
Why is it that when we see the universe in all its splendor, we do not have the same reaction?
"Wow who made that?"
Science should lead people to seek God, since science is the study of the work of His hands. How can reason guide us from a single painting= skillful artist, to a complex universe=chance?
How can chance which isn't even a substance create an intellectual being that loves, feels, breaths, and lives? Whatever started the universe must be something with the power to create, since nothing cannot gift birth to something, and dumb, powerless eternal blackness cannot create intelligent beings with the capacity to reason. How can we easily believe an artist painted a picture but reject the idea that a spiritual almighty God created the universe in all its glory. As if powerless chance creating the universe made any sense.
I do not speak as one who merely believes in God because others believe. God has made himself known to me. But for those who don't believe, what makes you think that the universe didn't come from an Artist?
I'm sincerely trying to awaken the innate desire in all of us to know the truth, to know our Maker. We are taught in high school to be atheist, we glorify chance as our maker and bask in freedom to do good and evil, knowing that chance is no "thing" and cannot rule over us. Our supposed maker cannot speak or even move a stone. I tell you, seek God. This universe is not a game, the evils in our world should draw us to seek God for direction, we are clearly in need of help. We cannot even stop cancer from coming upon us. God is obviously the only way out of this fallen world we live in and He is our comforter in this world as well. If it's all messed up, He has the answers and even if we cannot understand it all, we can be secure in His hands, knowing that He loves us because He made us and does not want any of us to perish, this is why He calls us to repent from our ways and come to Him.

The god that can be named is not the eternal God.
universe and everything in it = God
Hey just made a clan you should check it out
-
You make a very good point. And I thank you because you are willing to take all the hate :) and even the bible says I don't know what verse but the world will try to tell you you're wrong and god dosent exist
-
Maybe because we know for a fact that someone painted the painting? We know that paintings are made by man because we can observe it while it is happening.

Uhm I like pie?

...another religious thread, honestly do you people ever learn.. You're not going to convince anyone on bungie forums of your beliefs or disbeliefs, what is wrong with all of you...
-
"We are taught in school to be atheist." No we are (should be) taught unbiased in religion at public and non religious schools. Public schools cannot teach anything with a religious bias. If you want to be taught with religion mixed in, then you have to go to specific religious private schools
-
Which God are you talking about, there are over 4200 of them?
-
"He has the answers, but you can't understand them." Lol

Screw Dog, Credits are all that matter

Intelligence, feelings, and thought, are all just chemicals and electricity.

Hi guys Josh Feuerstein here and today I made an bungie.net profile. I call it CAPO 9.
-
You are looking more and more like a Colt 1775 alt.
-
Explain the other religions then
-
illuminati confirmed
-
i look at the universe and wonder, "how did this happen?" i do not wonder, "which deity from which religion brought this into being, as was arbitrarily decided by humans?"
-
You said a question, not a quiz.
-
Universe is perpetual, it just expands, contracts, then expands again. This is god, everything else bows to this mechanism. It goes on this way an infinite number of times forever, meaning that anything that can happen will happen, just not necessarily in your particular timeline. That iron in your blood comes from an earlier bang, btw.
-
I have a question for you too.
shut the -blam!- up?
-
Wow... This post really made me...
...kek
It's been claimed too often by religious folk that we are designed in such an elegant way that there is "no way" we could've just came into being. I'd like to point out that humans have virtually no perception of time other than how we interpret basic timelines that only show relevancy to the said being. This is called interpretation. All animals have it. If you can perceive, then you have some basic understanding of time. But it's incredibly basic. Because of this, we will never truly be able to fathom the timeline in which we became "human". We can only grasp slideshows. We can't see the "small" changes creationists call macroevolution (the same -blam!-ing thing). Consider a snowball or the butterfly effect. We cannot interpret the impact of isolated moments because that is not how we perceive time. We perceive it through analyzing results instead of acknowledging the cause. That is how the human mind works. We virtually dumb down the real world this way as a survival mechanism. Next up. Intelligent design. I like this topic... if we were created by a god, in "his" image, then why are their diseases, infections, and a loss of relevancy in certain body parts such as the appendix? We are evolving without it, and one day our whole anatomy will look vastly different. Most "deformities" are actually of trial and error; failed or successful experiments, in which successful experiments go on to produce offspring. This again snowballs. Now once we consider something like the universal genetic code, and how we are related to virtually everything living on earth, it's not hard to see even a minimal connection in this process. Why I mention time is because we will never be able to interpret just how far these mutations went. -whales have a part of the brain that deals with social interactions, in which us humans lack (by this logic they have a higher potential to truly love) -tardigrades. Do research on these and then come tell me about intelligent design.

It's our tiny conceited human brains.

But, who is camera man?

You suck god's dick or something?
